Campaign: Flailing About
Name: Talnos Aquinar
Motivation: To eliminate all slaveholders and oppressive regimes in the West
Anima Banner/Totem: Giant water serpent surrounded by waves
Once a slave, Tal was all too willing to live outside the law by smuggling stolen goods and contraband.
One day, as a young slave who worked on the smugglers' ship was being beaten to near death, Tal couldn't shake the cries of pain, and remembered his own suffering as a child. In an act of internal rage he did not understand, he killed the responsible crewmember while he slept. The captain of the ship, in retribution, cut off Tal's left pinky and threw him overboard for the sharks to feed on. As he struggled, bleeding and losing the strength to swim, with no land in sight, Tal fell unconcious, and had visions of things he did not yet comprehend. In this unknown length of time, Tal felt that his soul was set free. He awoke on a remote island, not feeling tired, but renewed.
Eventually, merchants came along and offered him a ride to a populated island. Tal knew he wielded a new power, but was unsure of what everything meant. His skills in trading and other less honorable trades secured him some income and a new life, but he had new goals in mind...
Tall, lanky, with a small round face and a single snake tattoo running down his left cheek. Short, black, choppy hair adorns his head and his sideburns run down into short, unkempt facial hair. He usually wears a deep blue open tunic, with brown silk pants and small black boots.

Peony Blossom Attack: 2m per attack (extra action), Obvious, Combo-OK. This Charm is a magical flurry of two or more Melee based attacks. Each attack costs two motes, including the first, and the Exalt can buy up to (her permanent Essence + 1) attacks. This Charm lets the Solar make these attacks regardless of the weapon’s Rate, without multiple action penalties, and with a DV penalty equal to only the highest penalty for any one attack.
One Weapon, Two Blows: 1m, Reflexive, One Action, Combo-OK. This Charm adds one to the Rate and one to the Accuracy of his weapon until his next action.
Ox Body Technique: 2 extra -1 health levels.
