Cayden Cailean is one of the gods of the Pathfinder setting. He is the Chaotic Good god of alcohol, freedom, and bravery. He has a pack of divine hounds too, which is neat.

He also has what is probably the most awesome backstory of any fictional deity ever, as in all modesty, some actual gods from history would be able to contest his claim to the crown.

Once, Cayden Cailean was a mortal mercenary who loved drinking, fighting, getting it on, and all around having a damn good time and sharing it with everyone. One night, he was drunk off his ass, and a friend of his dared him to take the Test of the Starstone, which entailed entering the cathedral of that particular space rock by crossing a chasm out front, and then overcoming whatever traps and obstacles lay within, a feat few other mortals have ever accomplished (Iomedae and Norgorber most notably). Three days after his purported attempt, he woke up with a splitting headache which he disintegrated with a mere thought, as the drunkard had without recollection and probably by accident become a god, the madlad.

Cayden Cailean is exactly what you'd expect if your average chaotic good adventurer became a god. Instead of temples, he has taverns , his clerics are bartenders, his holy text is short enough to fit on a placard, and every single one of his rituals involves alcohol, as every magical or dangerous situation should.

Across the inner sea region, dashing hero and lovable rogue both raise a cup in this dude's name.
