The Rift Stalkers are a Loyalist Space Marine chapter created from Raven Guard Geneseed. Created during the Ultima Founding, the Rift Stalkers are comprised entirely of Primaris Marines. They are a fleet-based chapter assigned to patrol the Cicatrix Maledictum and re-establish contact with any Imperial worlds that have been cut off by the Great Rift.

On the Tabletop[edit]

The Rift Stalkers are the "official" Raven Guard NuMarines chapter, and as such combine the shiny new True-Scale marines with the newer aesthetic with the themes of the Raven Guard chapter.

Colors and Heraldry[edit]

Whereas the Raven Guard wear Midnight Black into combat, the Rift Stalkers are an almost neon white. Breaking up the WHITE the Imperial symbol on the chest is a midnight black. Their shoulder pauldrons are given a colored trim, similar to the Ultramarines, to show their company number. A black marking on the right shoulder shows the type of squad they are in, with the trim of the right shoulder indicating company number. The left shoulder has the Chapter badge. A low gothic symbol on the left kneepad indicates the squad number.

Chapter Badge[edit]

Similar to how their color scheme is the absolute inverse of their parent chapters, the Rift Stalkers badge is the same as their parent chapter... only inverted in color (black on white opposed to white on black).

Trivia[edit]

Most of the Ultima Founding chapters were created to deal in part with the galaxy spanning Great Rift. The Rift Stalkers' name is likely a reference to this, and they are likely set up with a homeworld near the rift.

The fact that the Rift Stalkers are the exact opposite in paint scheme as their parent chapter - down to the Rift Stalkers having the same badge, only inverted - has led to several fan theories, including that they have the exact opposite personality as their parent chapter -- instead of dark and brooding, they would be bright and cheerful. Another theory takes the Rift Stalkers' name - specifically, the "stalker" part - and holds up that they are overly enthusiastic fanboys of The Raven Guard, which is why they were sent as far away as they could be from their parent chapter. A handful of Raven Guard successors wear colors that standout worse than all white. So if it works for them. These guys might be able to pull off stealth pretty well.
