Talk:7th Edition Homebrew Stuff
Three Xenos Army[edit]
I already can see ow to abuse this with Farsight Enclaves (Crisises and Riptides) + Necrons (ScytheImmortals + Wraithwing) + Eldar (Warlocks, Windrunners, Prism). For extra lulz make an Imotech your warlord, to meke sure he never ever die and would rain lightnings on your opponent and not allies, since they're all BBs. Byt then again, in the crazy unbalanced future of 7-th edition there would bea lot of stuff broken far beyond this.
- Yes, most house rules are not about balance. This is probably all terrible unbalanced stuff, but I think the 7th edition is so over the edge, that we can simply add our own stuff and see how good it can burn. - Yandere (talk) 19:28, 29 May 2014 (UTC)
Crudd Remediation[edit]
Friends, I have a mad idea. I've been going through the codices I own and realizing that many of them contain units which are in an objective sense unbalanced, whether good or bad, where crunch is involved. Every codex has its red-headed stepchildren which don't seem to have a place on the battlefield. Seems to me, with only very conservative adjustments to stats, almost any vanilla unit could be repaired and made at least viable. Since both players need to agree on house rules, very simple and slight adjustments would be easier to start using in your daily friendly matches. These adjustments could be carried out with the attitude of restoring balance rather than sweetening a deal, citing the stat-lines of similar units from other codices to support changes, or else describing why a certain unit is useless for its stated role and taking the shortest possible path to repair it.
In short, I want to see how delicate a touch can set aright badly-balanced units. It's sort of a big project, as I plan to cite reasoning in each decision. Any thoughts?
