A Quick Word on Forge World's Legion Strike Packages

So, Forge World's Legion Strike Packages are including the $150 Betrayal at Calth boxed set with kits for appropriate Mk.IV pattern Legion power armor conversion kits. Taking the Night Lords package as an example, it includes 3 packs the Mk.IV Legion Shoulder Pads (each pack of 10 resin pads costs 10 British Pounds), 3 packs of 10 Terror Squad Heads (11.50 British Pounds), and 36 packs of Terror Squad Mk.IV Torso plates (another 11.50 British Pounds per pack of 105)(The torsos are packs of 5). So that's an additional 99133.5 British Pounds, or 150.76204.06 US Dollars.

-So, 225 British Pounds is $342.63 (US currency), $150 of which goes towards the cost of the boxed set from Games Workshop. That leaves $192.63 in surplus to go to the conversion kits, which still appear to be resin. $192.63 minus $150.76 means you are paying an additional $41.87 for the bundle so you save 11.03 USD. Also shipping is free, even though it isn't 250 British Pounds (thanks Forge World).

-Conversely, Forge World also offers those 3 armor conversion kits as a combined package of heads, shoulder pads, and torsos for a total of 44 pounds (originally, buying each individually would cost 33 pounds.) It could be argued, in this case, that Forge World was packaging these 44 Pound kits with the Strike Packages. In that case, 3 of these kits would equal 132 Pounds, or 201.01 US Dollars. If it wasn't for the fact that buying each portion of the kit separately - while less convenient - would save you 33 Pounds, one could almost believe they were actually saving money. It doesn't save you 33 Pounds. Buying them separately costs you 0.5 Pounds.

Also, if you live in Australia or New Zealand the Forge World bundles are a bargain. 225 British Pounds = 479.71 Australian Dollars/525.80 New Zealand Dollars while Betrayal at Calth costs 265 AUD/315 NZD. 133.5 BP (the cost of the upgrades) is 284.57 AUD/312.06 NZD. This means you save 69.86 AUD/101.26 NZD. Massive savings and no expensive shipping!
