"Discussed" units.[edit]

This entire area is for discussing units that may or may not be included within the scope of the project. We're pretty full up on units right now, so some of these will just be neat ideas to be added later once the core army is finished. Some, however, we'll be able to fuse into multiple accounts.

  Conditioned Reflex Infantry?: (Tentative name)
  -WS5 BS5 S4 T3 W1 I8 A3 Ld 9 Sv 5+
-Special rules: Stubborn, Rage, Move Through Cover, Counter Attack, Furious Charge, Feel no Pain (4+), Fleet
-New War Protocol- Release Inhibition Circuts : you may spend a test token to remove inhibition protocols on the CRI's brain sending them into a mad frenzy of pleasurable carnage.
---REQURMENTS: More than 3 wounds remaining in the unit, 1 test token
---LIMITATIONS: UNIT may only snap fire this turn MUST move as far as possible to the closest and charge it if in range. Must consolidate towards the closest enemy unit
---GAINS: Unit gains Rampage USR, +1 bonus to their FNP.
-Wargear: Carapace armor, Volkite Serpenta, Plasma grenades, Haywire grenades, Archaeotech swords
---Archaeotech swords: Impossibly sharp swords which hum at the resonance frequency of the current targets cellular structure resulting in the dissolution of any flesh touched by the blade.
----S:User AP:5 Type: Melee, Shred, Rending
-Notes: Conditioned Reflex Infantry would probably have no more than 10 to a squad if that many (more likely maxing out at around 5-8), and cost somewhere in the ballpark range of 25-35 points a piece given their stats. Will need testing to see how broken/not broken they are.
Rejected due to being really freaking powerful, and not really fitting thematically.
A second opinion: drop Adamantium Will, replace Fearless with Stubborn, drop armor save to 5+ and you've reduced the power level enough with out making them garbage. Route number two would just be to remove or change there war protocol, let them auto pass look out sir! roles and make them a retinue for an HQ with base unit size of 3 and max of 5. Thematic rejection is more of a fluff thing than a crunch thing and as fluffless units that can be changed very easily. As far as the tactics of the army they fit in decently.
Could work quite easily as a hero or hq retinue unit.
Auxiliary Forces. Humans and Eldar who haven't integrated with the Dominion. The AI fits them with weapons locked onto their DNA and fit with explosives meant to go off should somebody tamper with them or upon signal to prevent having to fight against rebellious elements.
Currently rejected due to not fitting thematically.
