Talk:Fags of 4chan
Isn't 4chan spelled with a lower case c? --Myomoto 15:51, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
- yeah... yeah it is. Sorry, I do that by accident sometimes. Björn_Freigh 17:02, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
- No worries, it's an easy fix. --Myomoto 17:09, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
Why does this page not have "furfag" on it?
There's another page for that, this page wouldn't be able to contain all that faggotness
Hey there, I'm Dan long time reader, first time poster. Love the boards, love the forums. But you know it's 2018, maybe we can do away with the whole F-word thing? Blood for the blood god. Carry on.
- Howdy Dan.
- I'm a pretty newfag here (about two years as an Anon on /tg/ 4chan and /tg/ 8chan), and I'm quite possibly the only LGBT member of the community, so I'm kinda the resident expert. You are absolutely right, using fag or faggot in everyday language is absolutely unacceptable, and should be considered as much, but the lands of Moot predate that. Homophobia, transphobia, and all it's variants were considered acceptable by the greater society, and today, the cancerous cesspits that make up these horrid wastes is still completely alright. On the more cancerous boards, this is because they are isolated and genuinely malicious, but places like /tg/, especially on 4chan, it's just ingrained into the culture. Faggot is used 100% as a friendly greeting, from one fa/tg/uy to another, and I'd be willing to bet that 90% of the residents of /tg/ don't give a fuck if I suck dick and wear makeup.
- Thank you much for your concern, though. As a queer person and an elegan/tg/entleman, I'm very much so pleased to hear that other people are looking out for me. On an unrelated note, however, if you ever see the n-word used pejoratively out of context (ie, anywhere outside of the Racial Holy War article), please edit the fuck out of that bullshit. --Kracked Mynd 16:37, 4 October 2018 (UTC)
