The rules?[edit]
Anybody got good links for rules and related material? Thought it might be handy seeing as it's been ages since GeeDubs took the rules off the site.
- Just do a quick google search for Necromunda rules, there are a few sites out there that have carefully stored the rulebooks & add-ons; and since specialist games were free material in the first place it's not really pirating. Some community sites have even expanded on the original rules with fan-mods or even stored fanatic magazine articles --Dark Angel 2020 (talk) 07:07, 29 January 2015 (UTC)
"Release Schedule"[edit]
I've been meaning to get to this for a while, and it keeps bugging me. Is there much of a point to the Release Schedule Subheading under the 2017 system? Most of the stuff there is regurgitated, inaccurate information in some rather broken English. What do we do with it, if anything? --86.9.123.204 16:18, 23 December 2017 (UTC)
- It tells people what to expect and is all 1st hand information so accurate, for the rest of GW games your lucky if you know whats coming out beyond the next week never mind GW laying out to fans their entire years plans in detail. --WatcherZero (talk) 06:49, 24 December 2017 (UTC)
- But this stuff is repeated a lot of this in other, successive sections. For example "the second release in February 2018 has been announced as the Supplement Gang War 2 which contains House Orlock, new Harpoon Gun, hired gun rules who act as low level mercenaries (cook, scout, doc, and armourer) and three Hired Gun models" is repeated later on with "Models for Houses Delaque, Cawdor, Orlock and Van Saar will be released in early 2018" and "Gang War II will add rules for House Orlock, the ability to add Hive Scum mercenaries to your gang, and an extra set of hazard tiles.", which gives the same information in a much clearer manner. Not to mention practically sums up the entire point of this section in a sentence. As for accuracy, it was a lot easier to fix one of those lines than going over and fixing the various errors in this entire section by hand, solo. Also "firsthand information" - I'm going to have to ask you to cite your sources here, because details for Gang War 3 haven't been discussed (beyond the announcement it was coming) at the Open Day in November, on Warhammer Community or the Facebook Page (to my knowledge), and Faeit 212 or Bell of Lost Souls are not sources of firsthand information due to the nature of these sites, no matter who is posting up this stuff (I would at best consider these secondary or tertiary sources). By that logic, the recent Datasheet for Chaos corrupted Leman Russ is on it's way as an official model, and Leman Russ's entry must be corrected to reflect this. TL;DR: This section is redundant, does not fit with the rest of the article and is an ugly eyesore, not to mention this information is either freely available or has dubious sources. --86.9.123.204 10:43, 24 December 2017 (UTC)
- Andy Hoare at 40K Open Day was talking about the contents of the 3rd supplement in great detail with any member of the public who asked. --WatcherZero (talk) 19:28, 28 December 2017 (UTC)
- Does anyone else have any points or want to dispute anything above?--86.9.123.204 22:27, 28 December 2017 (UTC)
