Darmine[edit]

Crack shots? Harsh Desert with valuable mineral resources. Started as a prison colony. Is Darmine supposed to be Austrila... IN SPACE? If it is you might have forgotten the aborigines. If you want to give it a reef like obstacle, you could have moons, other debris in orbit, or better yet something created by the organisms that creates labyrinthine obstacles in the atmosphere, although knowing the imperium, there needs to be a reason why such an obstacle isn't simply destroyed. Also does this place have any oceans (they don't need to be made of water, although it might help if you want stuff alive in it)? Also are they going to have invasive species problems? I think it would be comical if they had to deal with tyranids on the planet of a regular basis.

Actually, with Darmine I was going for the Old West (gold rush, miners etc) with a few dabs of colonial Australia dabbed in. I don't think it's complete yet, if I'm honest. Originally, I was going to have them harassed by giant scorpions, but in hindsight, Tyranid splinters and leftovers might be good. However, it'd be hard for Tyranids to exist on such a rock for extended periods of time without biomass. I might whip up some deadly creatures in the vein of Catachan Devils etc. I like the idea of chain gangs being led along by Marshals in Chimeras and on horseback, keeping them on focus to their destination. Mm. I'll put more thought into it. Moonsaves 09:48, 22 October 2012 (BST)

Biomass is just biomass, its impossible for any non-primary producer to survive without a source of biomass. I fail to see why this would be a problem if the planet could sustain humans, who are not primary producers. I do think the nid's would have to be in smaller numbers than typical in order to be a gag (by 40k standards anyways) though. I think it would be particularly humorous if the humans introduced the nids, perhaps the imperium had a tyranid queen captive and were going to experiment on it but the ship crashed on the planet and it escaped. Also I'm not sure if you know this, but prisoners forced into service equipped with explosive collars are nothing new to 40k although the fact that the explosive collars can kill things other than what the prisoner around their neck is new. I can only assume was probably a safety feature for those around the prisoner, mainly their supervisor. Anyways since these prisoners can be used as suicide bombers you might want to point out their collars are different (other wise they would be terrible bombers).

Oh. Didn't see this. Derp.

It's iffy. Tyranids on the planet would be a crisis, especially if they kept a consistent (or growing) population. The Marshalls are not fans of the Imperium checking into their shit, and they certainly wouldn't hang around doing nothing with such an infestation on their hands if there was possibility of the Ordo Xenos getting involved and investigating. They keep a good garrison in case Farsight ever makes a move against them, after all.

Other thing is the planet is generally baked desert and rocky mountains populated by vicious and hardy predators, I can't imagine the Tyranids lasting long. Obviously, if they adapted this wouldn't be a problem - but as far as I'm aware they need a functional link to the Hive Mind in order to specifically adapt to their environment and enemies, right? If the heat didn't get them, they'd likely starve to death. Moonsaves 14:57, 7 February 2013 (UTC)

Sauristoni[edit]

I would appreciate it if you would give an explanation why commissars don't shoot the Sauristoni ghost chasers on the grounds of being cowards because there using they enjoy staying in one spot for an ambush camping and tracking enemies the commisar doesn't see going on nature hikes instead following the example of those who represent the pinnacle of imperium strategy, the krieg death corpse. Also you advertised them as dinosaur riders on /tg/. I want their forces to use dinosaurs in warfare. I don't care if it is using them benign herbivore for logistics, as fastwar mounts or taking the largest dinosour they can find, turn it into a cyborg and it's stats in the game (once /tg/ adapts it) are just modified from a titan. You gave permission to edit stuff, so I am going to be giving them light calvary. Also are these the guys the only group in the fluff (be it fan or canon) that are good at tracking? Because tracking can be very important and if they are the only ones good at it, they would be getting used alot for tracking. I'm also seeing them as Guerrilla-like fighters, is that your intent? If so I think it should be clearly stated.

-

There are several other planetary armies that are trackers and ambushers, the Tanith 1st and Only and the Catachan Jungle Fighters being good examples. I thought I'd mentioned them using the dinosaurs as cavalry, but I must have missed it out from the most recent version. I'm not sure on them using dinosaurs as Titans. It's an interesting idea, but it would require the creatures to be so big that they literally destroy the jungle wherever they go. They would also need a hell of a lot of natural armour to be able to represent the statline of a Titan. "Light Infantry" generally assumes guerrilla tactics, with room for them to be expeditionary scouting forces and harassers. Thanks for your comments :D Moonsaves 13:31, 20 October 2012 (BST)

Fuck off with Strikethrus[edit]

Don't add strikethrus to tactics pages. If there's an inaccuracy in the text, edit it out. Evilexecutive (talk) 21:00, 16 January 2016 (UTC)

I think you've got the wrong person. I've never added strikethrus to a page, only removed them (as I did last night on the Ork tactica page). Moonsaves (talk) 13:50, 17 January 2016 (UTC)
