'Balor' Hive Tyrant
Balor, The Devourer of Yggdrasil, is a Hive Tyrant of the Hive Fleet Nidhoggr. It is the first Hive Tyrant of its fleet, far larger than any other. Balor was first encountered on an Imperial mining world, for which it was named. Balor managed to incorporate materials from this world, typically used in the construction of adamantium, into its carapace, granting it incredible resilience to both flamer and melta weapons.

Molten Heat: A target hit by the Devil’s Implements takes a one-time penalty of 1 to its armor and an extra -1 penalty if it is in combat with the Balor Hive Tyrant for 2 or more rounds.

•Pyroclastic Hide: The Balor Hive Tyrant gains a 3+ invulnerable save versus flamer and melta weapons. It loses this save upon said weapons successfully managing to wound it. It regains this ability after not being hit by these weapons for one full round.
•Consume All in Ash: Models in combat with the Balor Hive Tyrant for 2 rounds or more take an Ld penalty of -1
Upgrades:[edit]
• Hive Commander: For each Hive Tyrant in your army with this upgrade, choose a single troops selection from the same detachment. All models in the selected unit gain the Outflank special rule.
• Indescribable Horror: Units taking a Fear test caused by this model must roll an extra dice when taking the test and use the highest two results. In most circumstances, this will mean the unit rolls 3D6 and discards the lowest dice roll.
• Old Adversary: This Hive Tyrant re-rolls all failed To Hit and To Wound rolls of 1 when fighting in close combat.
• Lord of the Skies: If your army includes Hive Tyrant with Wings upgrade, Gargoyles can be taken as Troops choices. Options:
