Campaign:Containment Breach
Adeptus Evangelion: Containment Breach is an AdEva: Borderline campaign being run by Sevatar#9054 on Discord, featuring a few of the EYES developers/playtesters and based on SCP Foundation lore. While most AdEva campaigns feature Angels trying to break into NERV, Containment Breach features a version of NERV which seeks to contain angels within its Jerusalem base, and prevent them from escaping by any means necessary.

Backstory[edit]
Fifteen years after the global catastrophe known as the Second Deluge, most of the world is extremely poor, and barely surviving. Technology levels have stagnated at pre-smartphone levels, although there have been some medical advances. Many former cities are entirely flooded. Despite this, most people live in large cities, metropolitan areas that stretch for miles. People generally hate the countryside, due to paranoia about Angels and other post-Deluge horrors living out there.
NERV, once a deeply secretive organization, was forced into the spotlight after the disastrous attempt at containment of the angel codenamed SACHIEL, resulting in the destruction of Tokyo-3 and the death of one of their pilots, Shinji Ikari. Faced with mounting public outrage at NERV's refusal to reconsider its strategy at dealing with the angelic threat, the United Nations formally cut ties with NERV and began work on their own strategy to destroy the creatures.
Reeling from the massive cut to their resources, NERV was forced to seek additional sources of funding. Though the organization was for a time kept alive mainly by funding from the North American Union, a gesture of defiance against the UN, reprieve finally came in the form of a partnership with the large corporate conglomerate known as the Ashcroft Foundation. For now, the situation appears to be mutually beneficial: Ashcroft transitions from "that company that owns all the fast food chains" to "saviors of humanity", and NERV gets to continue its operations unhindered, aside from the occasional PR stunt requested by their corporate benefactors.

The Ashcroft Foundation[edit]
A corporate conglomerate, created by the merger of several large companies with Berkshire Hathaway following Second Deluge. They own most fast food companies. They are also one of NERV's top backers. Chairman Cordwainer Ashcroft has been affiliated with NERV since its founding, and is known to have attended MIT alongside late NERV Supreme Commander Kozo Fuyutsuki.
Concerned Parents Association of Jerusalem[edit]
A social justice group oppossd to NERV's use of child soldiers. Frequently protests at public NERV sites.

Episode 06 - Title TBD[edit]
Exposition is delivered while Strelnikov deals with the stress of his demotion by growing watermelons.
Episode 07 - Title TBD[edit]
The pilots do some routine synch testing and prepare to fight a VR simulation of an angel.
Episode 08 - Title TBD[edit]
A routine VR simulation goes horribly wrong as a malfunction drags the pilots screaming into a bizarre hell-world. A mysterious door to nowhere separates the group before they each encounter a sinister entity.
Episode 09 - Title TBD[edit]
The pilots emerge from VR Hell only to be met with a real angel rampaging through Jerusalem.
Episode 10 - Title TBD[edit]
The commander takes the pilots out for lunch in order to deliver some exposition. She then promises the pilots a vacation to anywhere they could care to go, and the pilots decide on...Seattle.
Episode 11 - Title TBD[edit]
On the way to Seattle, the pilots' plane is forced to stop on a tropical island for repairs. The ensuing beach episode is interrupted by the appearance of a Rei clone and an experimental Evangelion unit.
Episode 12 - Title TBD[edit]
The journey to Seattle continues, before being sidetracked by (you guessed it) an angel sighting, and a sudden run-in with United Nations forces.
Episode 13 - Title TBD[edit]
The pilots narrowly avoid being charged with war crimes as they end up doing battle with the angel dangerously close to the UN fleet.
Episode 14 - Title TBD[edit]
As the smoke clears, a giant rift opens up, pulling Avery inside. She emerges on the other end in low-Earth orbit, pursued by yet another angel. Aaron and Nadya snipe at the angel to disable it as Shantanu and Will fly up to both rescue their fellow pilot and contain the now-crippled Arael.
Episode 15 - Title TBD[edit]
The pilots arrive at Seattle, and their first move is to celebrate their recent victories by acquiring alcohol. Hijinks ensue. (Some of which involve a terrifying horde of Rei clones)
Episode 16 - Title TBD[edit]
The pilots are rescued and dragged by NERV security to the Seattle base, where Dr. Yui Ikari angrily informs them that the sudden spike in angel encounters in the wild is the direct result of their escapades beyond the scary door, and that the entity they encountered has thrown a massive wrench into NERV's attempts to reach an 'understanding' with the angels. Now, the stalemate has ended, and the angels have resumed their war to exterminate humanity, starting with a rather unfortunate group of Evangelion pilots.
Episode 17 - Title TBD[edit]
The pilots seek assistance from Azazel, a cooperative angel residing beneath the NERV research facility at Mt. Shasta, California. They descend into the abyss, encountering alternate versions of themselves wandering through bizarre, Lovecraftian architecture. Upon finding Azazel, their conference is cut short by an angel attack. The pilots find themselves transported outside into highly upgraded versions of their Evangelions. All except for Shantanu, that is, who finds himself wandering around a post-apocalyptic future.
Episode 18 - Title TBD[edit]
Shantanu meets with what remains of NERV's leadership as the rest of the party does battle with Zeruel. The pilots fight for their lives as future NERV arranges the delivery of a god-killing superweapon into the past. Shantanu reaches 88 miles per hour and travels back to the present as the other pilots barely manage to destroy the angel due to a combination of heavy artillery and a berserk Eva Unit 12.
