Artifacts[edit]
The Birdman's Feather (Artifact ●●●)
There exists a legend of a Lunar warrior by the name of Da Birdman who helped bring the essence infused genre of Hip-Hop to the south-east known as Crunk. The genre's short-lived popularity was based upon the sect's glorification of a drug and alcohol infused life-style, constant partying, and the sexual objectifying of women. Despite the controversy, especially Da Birdman's habit of promoting free-love and having several harems of concubines and wives, Da Birdman left behind a philosophy concerning the relationships between men and women.
"Look, like, thugs and hoes be from two completely different world, a'ight? And all this BS about me being misogynistic and dat shit, it just ain't true. It's just I understand da fundamental differences and compositions of men and women. There needs to be a synergy of energies between men and women in order for achieve a harmony of existence, you feel me? With that being said, I will not focus on the intent and purpose of a thug's existence, for the stereotypes and rumors are mostly true. Naw women, women be fickle and hard to understand, but they's be a gift of nature and art sent from them dudes up above, a'ight. But in these times where gender roles and where people be tryin' to jack your shit, we lose sight of ourselves. Women, in general, should uplift three virtues: Beauty, Purity, and Temperance. That's what it takes to be a woman nowadays, and it's hard to find a woman like that."
Shortly after saying those words, Da Birdman clipped his wings and retired from his career as an entertainer and disappeared from Creation's consciousness. However, one remnant of his being was left behind. A single feather given to his most favored wife said to be imbued with some of his powers.
This feather is said to boost the appearance and social mastery of the lady who wears it in her hair. The feather is said to fill its wearer with an understanding of Da Birdman's fundamental virtues of femininity. When a woman wears this feather, her Charisma and Appearance attributes are raised by two, while her Manipulation attribute is lowered by one.
Whenever the bearer of this artifact is in social combat against a male opponent, she may make a social attack based upon one of the many ideals and concepts of femininity (Compassion, Beauty, Temperance, Purity, Caring, Love, etc) using a pool of (Charisma + [Relevant Social Ability] + Essence). If this attack beats the opponent's MDV, the opponent gains a positive intimacy towards the wearer. If this effect is used at least (target's Temperance + Integrity) times against that same opponent, that individual becomes devoted to her, even begrudgingly. Once this happens, the bearer must roll one d10 and then her (Appearance + Socialize) pool. The result of the roll on the single d10 is how many Minutes/Hours/Days/Weeks/Months/etc the target is devoted to the bearer, with the successes on the (Appearance + Socialize) roll being the unit of time according to the following table.
1 - Minutes
2 - Hours
3 - Days
4 - Weeks
5 - Months
6 - Years
7 - Decades
8+ - Life
The bearer may decide when the target's devotion may end and can end it earlier than the effect's duration. However, she may never use this effect on that target ever again. A drawback of using this effect is that some targets may become so entirely devoted to the bearer that they invade the bearer's social and private life to the point where it no longer exists. However, there have been instances where total enemies have only become neutral to the wearer and have lived their lives peacefully, never encountering the bearer of this artifact again. Once this effect has taken place, the player may decide how exactly this devotion plays out (whether it be complete, undying devotion or a pact never to harm the bearer again) but the decision is subject to Storyteller approval. No matter what decision the player may come to, the target is never allowed to physically or emotionally harm the bearer. This effect is similar to charms that carry the Emotion and Compulsion tag.
Additionally, if an opponent would attack someone or something the wearer has an intimacy toward, the bearer gains a +2 dice bonus to an attack against that opponent. This artifact costs 6 motes of essence to attune. Males cannot attune to this artifact and benefit from its effects.

Moonsticks (Artifact ●●●●)
(Speed 4|Accuracy +4|Damage +10b/5|Defense +4|Rate 3|Minimums: Str ●●●, MA ●●|Attune 8|Tags: R, M, O)
Moonsticks always come in pairs. ALWAYS. The attune cost and the Artifact cost is always for a pair.
What seem to be two normal drumsticks are actually fierce weapons wielded by the Lunar hero Ki'eph Moon who was known to cause people to drop their weapons in battle and dance to the ferocious beat created by these moonsilver drumsticks. In appearance, they are smooth, pearl drumsticks without any distinct markings, but by tapping the sticks together thrice, they transform into two long, silver batons with a round, white bulb at the end, perfect for beating against a giant drum or a gigantic enemy. In battle, the drumsticks become an extension of the bearer's soul, directing the natural rhythm of their heart-beat to the glorious symphony of battle.
Whenever the bearer of the Moonsticks declares an attack, he may declare usage of this Artifact's special effect: Whenever the bearer makes a successful attack, his opponent gains a positive intimacy to music or dancing. During Step 7, the bearer of the Moonsticks replaces his raw weapon damage with a pool consisting of his (App/Cha [Player's choice] + Performance + Essence). If this option is chosen, the defender then applies a custom soak pool consisting of his Mental Dodge DV. If there is any dice left after applying soak, the attack may roll for "damage." For every success on this roll, the defender loses a point of temporary willpower. This effect is considered Unnatural Mental Influence and charms the defend against UMI may be declared during Step 2 in order to negate this effect. Using the Moonsticks together as paired weapons does not incur an offhand penalty.

Apollo, I'm Burning Picks IV: Bag One: Through Cheers in the Glasses of Guinness (Artifact ●●)
Pick (Speed 4|Accuracy +2|Damage +4L|Rate 2|Range 50|Mins: Str ● and Dex ●●●|)
This bag of picks is said to be created by a Twilight guitarist who simply was tired of losing picks all the time and never having any picks to use before a performance. The Twilight then made an agreement with the God of Rock and Roll to provide him with a never ending supply of guitar picks so that he never may lose one again.
Whenever an Exalt attunes 3 motes of essence to this pick-bag, it supplies that Exalt with an unlimited number of picks, depending on the type of Exalt who attunes essence to them (A Solar will get different picks than a Lunar, and so on). The picks themselves do not need attuning. When wielded as weapons, the picks are considered to be Typhoon Wheels (SotM pg. 160, YES INCLUDING SIZE, YES YOU ARE THROWING AROUND A FOOT LONG GUITAR PICK) and benefit from magical material bonuses.
- Orichalcum Fenders - These picks are by far the most common, popular, and durable picks one can get. However, they do not provide a lot of versatility, precision or speed. Whenever making a Social attack using Performance that involves using a guitar, the Solar may add his Essence as automatic successes to the roll. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uo9Q_1JAq58
- Moonsilver Fatties - These picks are favored by Lunar guitarists who favor durability and strength over precision and speed. Whenever the Lunar is the target of a social attack using Performance, he may add his Performance score to his/her Mental Dodge DV. The Lunar may use this effect every (Essence) ticks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yerI0G8Gfw&feature=related
- Jade Precision Picks - When these picks are thumbed over by the Terrestrial Exalted, their center flare with a small emblem of that Exalt's elemental aspect. These picks favor fluidity and precision but sacrifice size. Whenever the Dragon-Blooded makes a Performance based social attack, the Dragonblood may spend a number of motes up to is Essence to make the speed of that action less by that many motes than it was before (Example: If the DB spent 3 motes, a Speed 5 action would be a Speed 2 action [5-3=2]. Or, if the DB spent 2 motes, a Speed 4 action would be a Speed 2 action [4-2=2]. Maximum number of motes spent cannot exceed 3).

- Starmetal Shark Fin - A pick regularly employed by the Sidereals, it allows the Sidereals to use one side like a normal pick and the blunt perturbations on the other side to achieve fuller chords and heavy metal "scraping" sound effects. Amongst Exalted guitar players, most Exalts have judged the Shark Fin as being entirely useless with only the appearance of being useful. Whenever a Sidereal has rolled a Performance based social attack, he/she may choose to re-roll, scraping the strings of the Loom of Fate like a guitar and producing a reverb effect in reality. The Sidereal must accept the successes made on the re-roll and can only use this effect once per scene.

- Soulsteel Steel Pick - A pick made entirely from the ghosts of impoverished and overlooked guitarist, these steel picks provide a crisp, clear sound on an electric guitar that helps the Abyssals with their Death Metal anthems. Whenever an Abyssal makes a social attack using Performance that involves a guitar, he/she may use the pick to cause one level of unsoakable Lethal damage to herself to add his/her Essence twice to the roll.

Arpeggio de Sol (Artifact ●●●)
This cravat of soft silk is a must for those fancy Celestial shin-digs that require an Exalt to wear at least wear a suit or a tie and sports jacket. However, when this cravat tied properly around the neck of a powerful voice and tucked in between the collar of a suit or sports-jacket, the wearer's own voice becomes a weapon powerful enough to level mountains. Legends say that this cravat was once owned by the Solar symphony conductor, Resplendent Symphony of Glorious Cascade. This cravat, which was part of his usual attire at concerts and musical events, exaggerated the tone and sonic power of his voice, amplifying it beyond human limit and causing it to do collateral damage to whatever may have been in the path of his voice.
During combat, the wearer of Arpeggio de Sol may declare use of this Artifact's effect on Step 1: The wearer rolls a die pool consisting of his/her Charisma + Performance adding Essence as automatic successes vs. the opponent's Dodge MDV. If any successes remain after subtracting the opponent's MDV from the total number of successes, the wearer may roll for bashing damage. For every success on this roll, the target is knocked back by a yard (1 sux = 1 yard, 2 sux = 2 yards, etc). Additionally, the target gains a -2 external penalty to his attack rolls for (Wearer's Charisma + Performance) tick, but only if the wearer rolls at least his opponent's (Essence) in damage and only when he is singing opera. This effect is considered to be a Speed 3 action. This artifact costs 6m of essence to attune and its effect costs 3m per use.

Canine Tool Box (A.D.V.I.C.E.) (Artifact ●●●●)
A.D.V.I.C.E. (Advanced Developmental Vocal Input Computer Entity) is said to be the bearer of the soul of an ancient familiar that guided many Celestial exalt circles to their goals. When the familiar finally died at the ripe age of 3,000, its beloved Solar owner decided to store its essence into a mechanical dog so that it would last forever, helping whatever Solar that may need its knowledge and expertise. A.D.V.I.C.E. takes the form of a small, mechanical retriever and is prone to bark at certain objects.
A.D.V.I.C.E. is similar to other Canine Tool Boxes in function except for a few additional abilities. Advice has the ability to compute abstract investigative data and store it for use. The owner may roll Advice's (Intelligence + Investigation, Difficulty 3) to begin computation of the data. If the roll succeeds, A.D.V.I.C.E. computes a logical conclusion based on the data given (which is given by the ST). On a failure, Advice fails to compute, and on a botch, Advice experiences a "bug" and computes an illogical conclusion.
(The Canine Tool Box is the intellectual property of the owner and is being used for this campaign because it's totally awesome.)

Terrifying Red Blazer (Artifact ●●●●)
Legends speak of a man who was destined for greatness, using the power of his song to sway the hearts of nations everywhere. In one legend, the great warrior was transporting a young princess back to her kingdom after a diplomatic visit to a neighboring nation when they were both ambushed by the undead. Thus, the warrior donned this jacket and used his song against the undead, neutralizing them.
The Terrifying Red Blazer has the same stats as a piece of Lamellar armor (Exalted pg. 375) with additional bonuses. The Terrifying Red Blazer is able to convert the negative, necrotic energies of the Underworld and the Shadowlands into usable essence. Whenever a Celestial Exalt wears this jacket, they can regenerate Essence normally if they are in a Shadowland or in The Underworld. However, the bonus of Hearthstones, artifacts and charms do not factor into the number of motes regained. Additionally, when wearing this jacket, it's wearer may roll (Cha + Performance) against a Necromancer's Dodge MDV for temporary control of his undead followers.
If the Exalt finds a group of undead without a controller/master, the Exalt may roll attempting to achieve a number of successes equal to the Magnitude of the hoard at target number 7. If the Exalt succeeds, he gains temporary control of the hoard for (Essence) days (Or, for more dramatic games, until the next moon phase). A cautionary note to players, if your character uses this effect in The Underworld, there is probably an angry Necromancer somewhere wondering where his army of zombies went. If the Exalt fails, he gains temporary control of the hoard, but may only issue commands related to artistic or aesthetic pursuits (such as dancing). This effect costs 6 motes of Essence to and 1 mote of essence must be committed per day. The Exalt may cancel this effect before this effect naturally wears off.
This artifact costs four motes to attune.
