Not to be confused with the Mageknight archetype or the Final Fantasy version, though it does have some similarities with the latter's depiction in Final Fantasy XI. Dragoons are Mid Caster 3/4 BAB Champions published by Lost Spheres Publishing; and as such aren't technically kosher for Spheres games. Their personal abilities aren't what matters, however; it's their Drake Companion, whom they buff and get buffed by. As they grow together; the Dragoon can obtain some boosts from being next to their drake, including bites, wings, temp HP and even ability score boosts. To truly get the FFXI experience, you can take Athletics Sphere, get Dragoon Leap and leap through the sky like a heroic powerhouse.
