Reason: you made this shit up. The thread archives show that this is never spoken of on /tg/, and the only other use of the term is a minecraft mod.

If one is going on a quest there is going to be a lot of things which needs to be done, this includes the big things like slaying a dragon or defeating a force of orcs, but there would also be a lot of little things such as pitching tents, gathering firewood, getting fires going, cooking meals, making sure the horses are watered and fed, packing back up again and all that jazz. On a strategic level there is the matter of keeping an army fed, how much ammunition each soldier carries, the state of their equipment, the amount of engine coolant and replacement sparkplugs a tank needs and all that. If one wanted to go even further one could presume that the characters are all breathing and micromanage their bodily functions. But let's face it, the overwhelming majority of people are not interest in that stuff. They want to get to the Dragon-Slaying, Orc-Stabbing and Nazi-Shooting before the next ice age sets in. We'll simply presume that they are being handled offscreen automatically. Those aspects of the game are classified as Florb.

Occasionally you might be able to get some fun gameplay out of something which is usually just covered in Florb by adding a basic logistical element to your strategy games or giving your characters a food requirement, which adds another challenge that people need to deal with and add to the immersion. Doing so incorrectly often leads to the feeling that the players are having to do complex paperwork before having fun adventures.
