"The light banishes the dark and cold from even the worst of places if given the chance."

– Credo of Gaen's priests

Gaen is the goddess of light in Praemal. She's the sister of Mirresh.

Appearance[edit]

Gaen is depicted as a gigantic, bare-breasted woman, wearing a golden helmet and wielding a sword made of light.

Worshippers[edit]

Gaen is the (extremely distant) second most worshipped deity in Ptolus, and thus has the largest temple in the Temple District. Her clerics and paladins preach others to not just avoid, but to root out and destroy evil wherever it's found, and crusade against evil in its most base forms, demons and undead, as well as fighting agianst slavers, monsters, murderers, and assassins. Her faith has a strange rivalry with that of Hannan, the god of the sun. Her priests, regardless of gender, are considered to be her lovers, and her most sacred rites often include sexual components. An odd rule of her priests is that they aren't allowed to step on more than seven shadows between sunrise and sunset.
