Either needs a serious overhaul or deletion[edit]
Gonna' be frank, this article just isn't up to the level of quality I might expect elsewhere on /tg/. The Tau section especially, it just... reeks. Of many things, none of them good. Seriously, y'all should just delete this and try again if need be. What's up here now, though, just makes me cringe. -Anon, 9/10/18
Covenant Firepower[edit]
Hey guys, how strong do you think the calcs for the Covenant ships would be in fluff?--->Derpysaurus
Probably nowhere near strong enough to easily take out Reapers, but hey. This is your fantard page.
- Not trying to start a flamewar here, but I have seen over a dozen threads all agreeing that the Covenant can rape and cream the poor Reapers, several ways to hell...into fried calamary...so what is your point exactly?--->Derpysaurus
Why in the name of god is this pile of 13-year-old fanwank still on the wiki? It's an unedited stream of mary-sue bullshit and by the looks of things the author abandoned it almost a year ago. There's not even any risk of baby throwing a tantrum if you get rid of it. Am I allowed to delete it?
Fuck it, I'm deleting it. Un-delete it if I'm not and then delete it again, because fuck.
- This is nothing more then a fluff edition of the Covenant Codex which is a "what if" scenario if Geedubs decided to include them within the WH40K scenario, the only fanwankery I see here is the Covenant psykers (Which was not my idea in the first place) which is only included for the sake of further tying the WH40K and Halo fluff together. Think of this as the Angry Marine page or the Reasonable Marine page. Furthermore there are some people who are willing to convert the Halo actionclix figures into a Covenant tabletop within the WH40K setting, so it is /tg/ related. And no, using your personal opinion and position in order to delete an article based on certain fanfiction without the consent of the original creator is not a valid way of editing and is just one of the multiple ways of getting your ass banned here. ---->Derpysaurus
Hey, why there isn’t a flood codex?
- Difficulty in balancing flood takeover of troops, ridiculous evolutionary and technological expansion of the flood, problems involved with Flood evolving into Key Mind stage and the extremely unconventional tactics of the Flood. The Flood is one of the worst factions to convert to tabletop because of how abnormal their fighting tactics is. They don't fight like a traditional army but more like a von neumann, rapidly advancing, rapidly adapting, highly decentralized, reality warping swarm that has no leadership checks (Since the Flood is basically a decomposed God) and can evolve into whatever it consumes based solely on the technological capabilities of its enemies. It is difficult as fuck to convert, tough as hell to balance and its rules is completely out of traditional 40k that an entire new set of rules has to be put forward to make to Flood any viable on tabletop. Now you know why the Flood Codex isn't implemented. Derpysaurus
I think it's time to admit I made a mistake participating in this and just start over completely. Crazy Cryptek (talk) 11:36, 4 August 2016 (UTC)
Huh? Derpysaurus
There's no getting around this but, quite frankly the "fanlore" here absolutely fucking sucks and is a laughing stock on /tg/. Crazy Cryptek (talk) 07:31, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
- There haven't been much going on in this page. But I see what you mean. It wasn't as bad as few years back though and I think most of the edit wars has died down a lot here. I am planning on deleting the unnecessary character list on the main Halo page since it is getting pointless cause there is a link to Halopedia already. While at the same time I would be further expanding on Halo Ground Command and Fleet Battles. In the near future the main Halo page is going to be 50% tabletop, 20% of the fandex while the rest is just minor fluff. Derpysaurus
Should we mention Jokaero in the factions section?[edit]
Personally, I'm interested in how the Huragok (Engineers) and Jokaero would feel about each other.
