23:22 (cur | prev) -293 talk Undo revision 799416 by Bear Eater (talk) Well, you can't say that those differences harm Battletech, as the setting can be quite interesting in its own ways, just look up the Amaris Civil War for example, it can roughly be seen as the Battletech equivalent of the Horus Heresy. Plus, Battletech isn't niche, it talks about human conflict, which is interesting in it's own right, plus it has giant robots, what's not to like? Tag: Undo
21:41 (cur | prev) +293 Bear Eater talk contribs Unfortunately I disagree. There is enough difference in terms of both setting presentation and aesthetics to make it very difficult for Battletech to truly rise to 40k's level of branding and recognizability. Especially on first glances, 40k is much more distinct The Clans are unique to certain extent, but they just don't hold a candle to Xenos. Battletech will have a rise, but not one to truly rival GW. This isn't being supportive of GW, more just an analysis of both IPs and their appeal. Tag: Undo

If anything, the lack of aliens in battletech isn’t that big of an a problem, as the clans fill that role quite nicely, due to how alien their culture is. Also, battletech is cheaper and more well balanced than 40k is. Tag: Undo
02:04 (cur | prev) +293 Bear Eater talk contribs In my opinion, Battletech will see an influx of new fans due to GW's actions, but not enough to rival 40k. Battletech as a universe just doesn't have the aesthetic appeal nor the expansive scope to match 40k.
