News[edit]
Warhammer Fantasy Battles[edit]
9th Age[edit]
9th edition 1.00 will come out halfway past april. i want to make a review for the game system. if i am lucky its 1 week but probably 2-3 weeks time to get enough games in.
Stillmania[edit]
Battle Reports[edit]
Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay[edit]
New Miniatures Overview and Reviews[edit]
While most AoS miniatures cause massive controversy even within AoS community. However, there are still a few things that might be useful to WHFB community.
Slaughterpriest This model is metal (figuratively speaking). It is just based. It has cool name and it captures the spirit of giant murderous evil warrior most perfectly. Unlike the rest of AoS miniatures it is not overdesigned - it has just the perfect amount of detail. Khornate heraldry, so overabundant on the rest of new Khorne releases is kept surprisingly sparse - apparently, true priest knows that real faith is in the heart, not in earthly symbols.
It fits on 25mm base and as such would fit Warriors of Chaos army, if you don't mind it towering over regular rank-and-file. What is really cool, 9th Age includes rules for Priest of Wrath in Warriors of Dark Gods armybook, allowing you to use the Slaughterpriest as actual Slaughterpriest.
Suggested conversions: by ditching the bones and skulls and adding a sort of greenstuff hood you can make a wonderful town executioner for WHRP.
Exalted Deathlord with Impaling Spear
At first sight, this model has little to catch the eye. Disproportionate and generic, it is just boring. But what deserves mention is its alternate head. That barbaric bearded head is just wonderful. At least with GW paintjob it has a sort of degenerate look - perfectly fitting a berserker, whose mind has been completely and utterly consumed by bloodlust.
Gaunt Summoner
Another model with just one redeeming bit (okay, maybe two). I won't dwell on its overdesigness, I'll just draw your attention to its head. It is marvelously alien - it looks more daemonic, that GW daemons', and the same time there's something mortal about it. It is a perfect face/head for a Tzeentchian sorcerer. Just use different body - like that Chaos Sorcerer model everyone likes. Another bit barely worth mentioning is the Disc - not hard to convert, but looks nice anyway.
Bloodreavers
Not as overdesigned as other Bloodbound kits, Bloodreavers serve as nice replacement for older GW Chaos Marauder - who, let's admit, look a bit retarded. While there are wonderful (and cheaper) replacements from Avatars of War, Shield Wolf and MoM Miniaturas, if you for some reason want to stick with GW miniatures, Bloodreaver fill the niche nicely - just file some of the edgy stuff off.
Homebrews and Supplements[edit]
Goblin Lobber, The Game
What you'll need: 1 Goblin Doom Diver 1 Gob-Lobber (don't have one? can't buy anymore? convert one! regular catapults don't count!) (furthermore referred to as lobbers)
20 goblins 20 dwarfs
1 rune priest (optional) 1 thane with pistol (optional) 1 goblin shaman (optional) 1 squig or spider (optional)
Place both lobbers 24" from each other. Place the 20 dwarfs/goblins around them in square pattern, about 2" apart.
Both lobbers have 18" range. Pick a point within range and roll scatter and artillery dice. Gob-Lobber is more accurate - it can reroll scatter die. Doom Diver can aim - it can reroll artillery die.
When the goblin hits the ground, it makes a loud SPLAT! noise, crushing anything within 1" to a pulp on a roll of 4+. Whenever you crush an enemy soldier, you get 1 point.
If you hit enemy lobber though, you gain 1 point and the enemy can instantly relaunch the goblin back. If he hits your lobber though, he gains 2 points, and you can launch back, gaining 4 points... and so on. Lobbers are indestructible. The game ends when one of the players runs out of soldiers.
Optional rules:
1. You can choose to replace one of your soldiers with Rune Priest / Shaman. Once per game, Shaman can polymorph laucnhed your gobbos into orcs mid-flight. Once per game, Rune Priest can inscribe wrathful rune onto gobbo mid-flight. Orcs / Runed gobbos kill enemies they land on automatically. If a an Orc / Runed gobbo hit a lobber, he cannot be relaunched and the shooter gets 2 points.
2. You can choose to replace one of your soldiers with Thane / Squig/Spider. Once per game Thane can shoot a gobbo mid-flight with his pistol, turning him into shower of body parts. Once per game the Squig can leap up and swallow a gobbo mid-flight (in case of spider the gobbo is snatched from mid-air with webs) and devour him.
All optional rule replacements are worth 2 points when killed.

Suggested Ideas' Discussion[edit]
Most important, you need to find (or do it yourself) a project overseer that communicates with people and sets deadlines and adheres to these. to know if someone is actually working or interested in finishing what he is doing the overseer can request a sample after a week or so. it might even be better to have 2 of these.
you also probably need a spellchecker/ editor that is free to change up lines in articles to better fit the sentences. (though only does this when it is very needed)
for the first beta issue you can have random people start doing stuff and see if they actually like it, because many people that are eager to make something, and actually succeed. will also be to burned out to do it again. this is why the page number should be very flexible.
you can start hanging around in some threads and see if there are people that want write a oneshot or maybe more.
--
You should be flexible and just wait and see what kind of people join. it might not be that focused on fantasy when all is said and done. for instance i would probably start doing bloowbowl league reports and see if people find that interesting. it all depends on what the interests are of people that want to make a magazine. mine are aimed more towards lotr this month, but that might change.
what readers want[edit]
Fluff and rules for new alternative armies. I'm still working on Stormcast in Warhammer fantasy personally but I remember shit like the Cult of Ulric or the Gnoblar army and that shit was golden.
--
Usually I'm looking for fun rules, good pictures, a battle report here and there, and a "state of the hobby" piece. Painting tutorials with pictures for each step are great. Would also be really great to see some researched alternatives to models.
--
I really only care about fluff, RPG ideas, and the occasional nice mini, but I'd read a fanzine if it had those things.
--
New artwork. Even simple scribbles.
Articles about proxying.
Lesser known GW history, lesser known canon lore.
Warhammer Fantasy Battles songwriting, poetry, recipes, "do it yourself" non-model projects like making a banner, Fantasy purity seals, costumes.
Why Was the Page Blanked?[edit]
I mean, it was an entire page. Why was it removed?
