Talk:Black Dragons
What if I was looking for the Lawful Evil poison-spitting draco rex species from Dungeons & Dragons? --NotBrandX (talk)
Then you can go home. Didn't you know that /tg/ is only for 40k? --Soundifex (talk) 22:17, 25 January 2014 (UTC)
Should you like, add 'D&D' and '40k' sections to differentiate the two, or expand the Dragon page.--Boss Ballkrusha (talk) 22:37, 25 January 2014 (UTC)
Anyone wondering why the Salamanders are the prime candidates as to who's their parent chapter? Granted their gene-seed could've just been tainted and not all successor chapters follow the path of their original chapter(I don't think that the Black Templars like to fortify their position all to well but what do I know?)but maybe it's a long jump to say they were from the Salamanders just because of their skin color while knowing that the Salamanders can't really replenish their numbers well enough to have successors. But I could be wrong. --Ferbthe2gadgetguy (talk) 06:49, 10 July 2019 (UTC)
- The suggestion comes from GW themselves. Supposedly Rick Priestly's Index Astartes article hints at it and the Magos Biologis apparently believe it. The Salamanders novel series has a Black Dragon join the Salamanders as an "Honourary Brother" although the two chapters did get into conflict with each other. The whole issue issue with the 21st Founding being a great big experiment on gene-seed kind of works with (not against) the Salamanders slow replenishment rates, since it demonstrates what happens when you try to mess with gene-seed, and the Salamanders themselves probably wouldn't know they would be successors even if they were. I'm not sure their skin colour comes into it, since I've never heard or seen that the Black Dragons are actually black. --Dark Angel 2020 (talk) 07:08, 10 July 2019 (UTC)
Does anyone know why Volos is listed as Chapter Master? The best I can find for him puts him as Captain of the 2nd Company, but even after being replaced with "Unknown" a few edits ago, Volos was placed back. I'd like to know where that information is coming from. -- Thatonesleepy (talk) 01:16, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
