Not sure if this is relevant, but Titus was the nickname of Captain Oates, the dude from the Scott expedition who wandered off into the Antatarctic Wilderness when expedition supplies started running low. Captain Oates' reportedly said 'I may be some time,' and never returned.

Titus could become the next captain of the deathwatch, serving under duress by order of the inquisition, therefore continuing to serve the emperor while still being able to serve with honor, he's willing to do whatever it takes to win the battle, having little regard for what the codex Astarte's actually says to do. and most ultrasmurfs/ ultramarines hate being in the deathwatch, Titus would achieve great battles in his service to the imperium.
