Not trying to be insanely annoying, but is it alright to change the 'British English' bit? Know it's really pedantic, but its annoying imho (English called so as it comes from England (even though it is composed of several different languages and dialects) and British being another word for English. Sorry if this just ranty and irritating! Im obviously not an expert, just thought that the 'British' bit implies that English doesn't come from England, as if it was an Americanism or other alteration it would be American English instead of the basic English used in England. Sorry if it's overreacting, is a change ok??

Seeing as it's British slang not widely used elsewhere in the world, I'd leave it alone.--Boss Ballkrusha (talk) 20:45, 26 June 2014 (UTC)
I dunno, wouldn't it usually be enough to make a good part of it a link to Brits, or perhaps put that link into the "See Also" category of the page? I mean, to make it into a joke instead of removing it? - TheWiseDane
