Talk:Chris Renfro

From 1d4chan

I feel somewhat justified in deleting this page under the "no egoboos" rule (same goes for 1R0QU012, which has sat in the "deletion" category for some time). That rule specifically mentions people who browse and post on /tg/, but since the intent of the rule was to limit drama, I don't feel too bad about extending it to the broader ecosystem of "people who discuss traditional games" (as opposed to "people who write traditional games", which is why I'm not likely to delete, say, the Matt Ward page, even when it gets all messy).

I do have some reservations though, mostly because there is a grey area of people who post on /tg/ and who create traditional games (Viral and the Adeptus Evangelion creators come to mind). There is also the matter of articles about /tg/-related websites. Any thoughts? --AssistantWikifag (talk) 07:49, 9 April 2014 (UTC)

Delete away. This page just seems to be about someone who the page creator has a grudge against anyway. Ban him as well to be on the safe side.--Newerfag (talk) 14:11, 9 April 2014 (UTC)
Not planning to block the person who created the article -- he created a bad page, we deleted it, life goes on. If he were recreating it or spamming links to this Chris person all over the wiki, I'd block him for a few days, but this is no big deal.
I guess if a page in the grey area gets made (e.g. somebody gets pissed off about AdEva development to make a page shit-talking BMJ) I'll ask you all then. --AssistantWikifag (talk) 17:19, 9 April 2014 (UTC)

So says the main page "No egoboos". This guy is just some guy.--50.89.209.198 14:38, 9 April 2014 (UTC)

And one who seems to have nothing to do with /tg/, no less. Why should we care if he likes some Saw ripoff that we've never heard of? It's an attack article that even Encyclopedia Dramatica wouldn't tolerate having, and it is improbable that this user is interested in contributing productively to the wiki.--Newerfag (talk) 15:30, 9 April 2014 (UTC)
