Why did the Emperor Teach Magnus?[edit]

Better question: Why did the Emperor teach Magnus Warpcraft if he was going to shit on it later anyway? Remember that he and Magnus were in communication before the Emperor's fleets reached Prospero and the Emperor used this connection to teach Magnus about the Warp and stuff. Not just "this is bad and will eat your soul: here's the rules" but "Hey son, wanna learn how to shit lightning?" I mean, it's exactly like if the Emperor taught Lorgar about how great worshipping him is and how to build an organized religion and then many years later showed up and blew up Monarchia. It's worse than Monarchia since the Emperor taught Magnus Warpcraft in the first place. - Anon.

He taught him because Magnus was well aware of what Daemons were, and because of his psychic aptitude he would be made a target by them, as well as any other warp-dwelling entity that likes to use untrained psychers. Not teaching him would be like living around an active bomb and just hoping it never goes off. Finally he did not teach him sorcery, he taught him how to use his psychic powers, and there's a huge difference between the two. -- Triacom (talk) 08:41, 8 January 2020 (UTC)
