Relevance to /tg/[edit]

Can somebody explain how Dark Souls is in any way relevant to /tg/? The only thing I can see is it's a fantasy game, in which case there shouldn't be nearly enough to create a page for it. -- Triacom (talk) 20:36, 28 September 2015 (UTC)

It isn't related to /tg/ at all. What use do we have for a zero content page about a video game? 05:14, 11 December 2015 (UTC)
Playing devil's advocate here; it's basically Warhammer Fantasy the game. Plus, it has some /tg/ approved aspects to it..
  • Original for the most part? Check.
  • Protagonist is small in comparison to world and can easily be smashed/gutted/analized? Check.
  • World is open to player interpretation? Check.
  • Interesting story and NPCs? Check.
  • Stupidly grimdark? Check.
If anything, Bloodborne fits the /tg/ approval better. Dark Souls is at least worthy of note.
If /tg/ doesn't discuss it, those points are irrelevant. As near as I can tell, /tg/ does not discuss this topic.--The Forgefather (talk)
How is it warhammer fantasy the game? None of the characters look even remotely like they do in that game and it's missing a good fifteen factions, and that's only if you consider the main ones, but lets go through your points.
  • Original? Because a fantasy world full of evil monsters is really original, and has been ever since D&D came out right?
  • The protagonists of Warhammer Fantasy are almost always larger than life heroes.
  • Warhammer Fantasy usually ISN'T open to player interpretation.
  • Warhammer Fantasy also isn't stupidly grimdark.
As such this game doesn't have anything to do with Warhammer Fantasy aside from the time period, the best argument you can make is "There's knights there, and knights here!" Which isn't any argument at all since knights are not unique to that setting in any way, shape or form, nobody on /tg/ talks about it and even if they did they'd be talking on the wrong board since it has nothing to do with tabletop games. -- Triacom (talk) 18:09, 17 December 2015 (UTC)
/tg/ doesn't discuss this. /tg/ doesn't give a damn about Dark Souls. Ergo this page doesn't belong.--The Forgefather (talk)
I know, don't worry, I wasn't responding to you, I was responding to Helsing who for some reason didn't feel like signing what they wrote. -- Triacom (talk) 18:49, 17 December 2015 (UTC)
It's relevant now, lads. Board game backed by Namco-Bandai is on Kickstarter right now, funded in under 3 minutes. -- Anonymous 20:00, 25 April 2015 (ETC)
>implying it won't be shit --Newerfag (talk) 01:28, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
>using greentext on a wikipage
what the fuck are you. Shit or not, a boardgame is coming. Shut your hole. 05:54, 26 April 2016 (UTC)
First of all, this page will continue to be irrelevant until the board game comes out, second of all, this is mainly a wiki for a 4chan board you moron. This is actually one of the places where greentext isn't a dumb idea. -- Triacom (talk) 18:42, 26 April 2016 (UTC)

Seeing as we have pages for things not directly /tg/-related in terms of how people interact with them, yet relevant and discussed on /tg/, and how Dark Souls now has a playable board game, I think now is an appropriate time to restore the page. --Sicarius (talk)

If you want to base the page around the board game while acknowledging the game, go right ahead. Those other pages you mention are merely tolerated either because they're brought up on /tg/, or because nobody cares to try and take them down. If somebody actually did want those gone then there'd be very little anyone could do to argue against them.

So, there's a Cleanup tag, but I'm curious; what can we actually do to clean this page up? Maybe go into some more depth on each game's story? Do up a list of major character and/or notable enemies? Explain the magic system for the Souls trilogy (because I've seen /tg/ threads about adapting that) and the Trick Weapons of Bloodborne (again, threads about adapting that have shown up on /tg/)? What are we supposed to do to make this a better article?--QuietBrowser (talk) 08:15, 20 July 2019 (UTC)

Good a place as any to start, particularly the magic system (with the threads quoted ofc). To be honest I kinda just placed that because I don't think we have an "expand this nonstub article" template lmao. --LGX-000 (talk) 09:21, 20 July 2019 (UTC)
