Sorry, Sir, but Last Exile would be a better fit for Steampunk than Dieselpunk (before transitioning into Sci-Fantasy Anime Wackiness) for a few reasons such as:
- Cultural crap like costumes, social castes, politics, military tactics and whatnot are more 'late Victorian' than 'early c20'.
- No bootleggers, flappers, or Nazi spies.
- Okay sure there are some sweet sweet heavier-than-air airplanes, which might be where the confusion arises, but the overall tone is more steamy than diesely. As much as it is anything other than weeaboo pixiedust.
