How about grouping the settings by the versions that support them? Group the BECMI settings together, the AD&D settings, the D&D 3.x, and the 4E settings? Spelljammer would be in the AD&D 2nd Ed. group, with a note that it sorta appeared in 4E. --NotBrandX (talk) 01:07, 11 January 2014 (UTC)
Adding more (5e) Third Party Settings?[edit]
Since the recent addition of Humblewood to the official D&D settings template, I was wondering if we should make some kind of push to add more of the D&D settings, at least for 5e, that are being added up on DriveThruRPG to this wiki? I mean, just a casual browse there turns up the following possible settings...'
- Arkadia - a Greek-themed setting for 5e
- Primeval Thule - a Sword & Sorcery themed setting for 5e
- Mists of Akuma - Oriental Adventures meets Screampunk for 5e
- Swords of Kos
- Zodiac Empires
- World of Farland
- World of Myrr
- Asnar - One of several Norse-flavored/themed settings for 5e
- Rhym
- Tyrants of Saggakar - A Dark Fantasy setting in a world ruled by villains, with mechanics for both Pathfinder 1e and D&D 5e
- Akhamet - an Egyptian-themed setting for 5e
- GeneFunk 2090 - a "Biopunk" setting for 5e, set on a future earth where genetic engineering, cybernetic modifications, and bio-augmentation have become the norm.
- Svilland - One of several Norse-flavored/themed settings for 5e
- Pure Steam - a Steampunk campaign setting for 5e
- Hypercorps 2099 - a Cyberpunk Urban Fantasy setting for 5e, in the rough vein of Shadowrun
- 2099 Wasteland - a post-apocalyptic alternative timeline for Hypercorps 2099
- Legacy of the Ancients - a 5e conversion/setting built from the Computer RPG of the same name that was released in 1987
- Midgard - iconic setting for Kobold Press; expansions include the "African Fantasy" Southlands, the "Nordic Fantasy" Northlands, and the post-apocalyptic/sci-fantasy Wasted West,
- Ponyfinder - A My Little Pony setting for both Pathfinder 1e and D&D 5e
- Pugmire and Monarchies of Mau - linked settings set in the same world; a Science Fantasy world of the "far-future earth regressed to quasi-medievalism" type, where humanity has vanished and left behind races of former pets transformed into sapient humanoids. Pugmire focuses on playing canine PCs, and MoM on feline ones.
I have Arkadia, Primeval Thule, Mists of Akuma, Zodiac Empires, Akhamet and the World of Farland, though I only have PDFs available for the first three, so I can't exactly flesh out all of these settings on my own. Still, should we be incorporating these into this article, the template, and the wiki as a whole?--QuietBrowser (talk) 15:28, 16 February 2020 (UTC)
Add name of planet?[edit]
A good chunk of these settings have different names for the setting and planet (Forgotten Realms/Toril). Think it would be worth noting all known planet names on them? --Agiletek (talk) 21:02, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
