Anyone read the Theros novellas?

I haven't read them so I'm reluctant to add more to the story part; but I heard that Beyer and Helland killed or near-killed Elspeth, because Wizards of the Coast hates everything that I love. Nightwing (talk) 06:35, 25 May 2014 (UTC)

And another thing - sometimes it feels like Wizards of the Coast doesn't even know who its own characters are. Take Elspeth as an example. Her quotes on cards are all very knightly, paladinish type things about courage, stoicism, fight on! and the like. Then in the books, they replaced her with an angsty teenager who happens to wear the same size plate armor. They seem to think the audience is way, way younger than it actually is, which is disturbing (I'm thirty-fucking-one and I'm not even the oldest member of my group).
