Dragon Disciple[edit]

I thought Hexblade was a great way to get into Dragon Disciple with good BAB progression. That isn't mentioned on this article. Is it suboptimal / ineffective? I liked it when I played one. 121.216.132.45 10:59, 5 June 2016 (UTC)

That might be worth some consideration. I never counted the Dragon Disciple it when I put that section together. Though while the D&D3E disciple (as opposed to Pathfinder version) has abysmal spellcasting progression which doesn't do the Hexblade any favours. You do get the physical buffs associated with the prestige class, so it could be quite thematic and a good alternative to a Bard or Sorcerer who have to sacrifice quite a lot by multiclassing in this route.--Dark Angel 2020 (talk) 17:20, 5 June 2016 (UTC)
Indeed, if spellcasting was the focus of the character, Hexblade would not be the class of choice - Sorcerer or Bard or Spellthief or any other of many options would be superior. But to have a Dragon Disciple with good combat focus, I think the Hexblade makes a great base class when compared to the wimpy Bards and feeble Sorcerers. If Dragon Disciple's spell progression is pathetic, and the Hexblade's spellcasting is pathetic to start with, nothing lost! Everything gained! 58.164.26.11 08:47, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

So, at risk of outing myself...[edit]

I don't actually go on /tg/ that much. 's not really my jam. I mostly just use this wiki, and that's that. I don't know how the 5e hexblade has been recieved, only that I hate it. A lot. So much. 's this a bad place to put that opinion as if it's the opinion of /tg/? Or is /tg/ just apathetic about it, in which case I apparently win by virtue of wanting more and screaming louder? --SpectralTime (talk) 21:14, 13 February 2018 (UTC)

I for one am shocked, truly shocked, that one of the biggest fags here doesn't actually use the board that is the focus of this wiki. Hopefully he at least paid his 10 bux :^)
