Talk:Imperial Guard Regiment Creation Tables

From 1d4chan

Did a little format cleaning, but before we consider the article done with clean-up could we get a discussion going on making some sensibility out of these fucking charts?

I have no experience with creating these things, but clearly, we need to clean up the values and and adjust some probabilities.

Update: Added some hooks/descriptions to most of the values. Changed Homeworld:Temperate to Agriworld, change it back if you don't like it. As to the 'duplicate' allies, Chartist Captains are not the same as Rogue Traders, Chartists being responsible for a strict set of trade lanes, Rogue Traders being perhaps the most autonomous people in the entire Imperium. It's like comparing the Merchant Marine to Sir Francis Drake.

The Adepta Astra Telepathica and Scholastica Psykana are both organizations in control of Astropaths and Sanctioned Psykers, respectively. A 'Navis Nobilite' value should probably be added, as that represents the Navigator Houses as a single operation. I would say it's a very different thing to have Astropath allies, rather than an agreement with the entire Adepta Astra Telepathica. --Tiurabo 14:28, 19 December 2012 (UTC)

I changed some of the stuff on the "Regiment relations" chart to make them more sensible...somehow having more likelihood to be aligned with the Inquisition more than other IG regiments just didn't make any sense, plus I removed one of the redundancies; Astra Telepathica and Astropaths are the same damn thing. And I'm pretty sure Scholastia Psykana is, too. I might remove Astra Telepathica and replace it with Psykana, and replace existing Psykana with the League of Blackships given that they're two specific divisions of the AAT. In fact lemme go do that right now... Creed of Heresy (talk) 15:50, 11 July 2013 (UTC) Done and done. There's a couple other things that need some minor tweaking but for the most part this is pretty satisfactory now. Creed of Heresy (talk) 17:10, 11 July 2013 (UTC)

Cleanup[edit]

It's no longer a mess. It could use some work, sure, but I don't think we need the cleanup tag anymore. Dok (talk)
