Talk:Imperium Secundus
From 1d4chan
Is it just me or is much of this just yet more butthurt whining about the Ultramarines. I JUST read Unremembered Empire, they made it clear the Pharos was probably only part of a system relay so range probably couldn't reach Terra, and it took months just to tune it to Macragge and they barely understood it. And the action saved a lot of loyal ships trapped in the ruinstorm.
Really people get over it, no one thinks its cool anymore.
- Except (barring your exception about the limitations of the Pharos) it's all factual and in the books, and not simply anti-Ward propaganda or butthurt whining about the Ultramarines. The Guilliman and his Imperium Secundus were seen to be a threat by Malcador & the Emperor (source: Vengeful Spirit), and Lorgar was told that Guilliman needed to survive the battles for Calth in order to give Horus the chance to breach Terra (source: Aurelian) which very strongly implies that Imperium Secundus was a major factor in the fall of the Emperor. I'll admit that since I wrote the original article my opinions will be coloured with my own biases, but if there are counterpoints (like the range of the Pharos) then please lets get them all on the table and compare notes. I've brought Unremembered Empire back to work with me, so I'll be re-reading it again soon. --Dark Angel 2020 (talk) 15:45, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
