Well, most LARP discussions seem to concentrate on fantasy themed LARPs and the argument "lolololol these guys are dressed like elves!!" and so on. Which is understandable, sort of. But what about, let's say post-apocalyptic/modern LARPs? Running around with a gasmask and an airsoft gun and shooting at other people does seem a bit better then weaving around a foam sword. --Rodwell 22:06, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

What happened to the bit about the FUCKAWESOME norwegian LARPS. Also russia's got some hot shit.
Scandinavian (fantasy= LARPer here - if nobody minds i'll try to augment the LARP article a little... i can remember to do so. I got some really nice photos of dark elf girls in tight corsets, awesome orcs and other things that generally look cool.
I also have imagery and information on Warhammer 40K themed LARPs (epic gear, that sort) - if only i can figure out wikicode...

This topic needs a lot more STALKER LARP info.
Learn to use staves people. It´s not a spear, it´s not too long. One hand goes to one third of the length, the other hand goes to two thirds, your slimy tentacle is still free to strangle someone. Plus you can use it to help you walk, it has two ends to hit someone with and can be used to reach something too far/high. And since it is about hitting and not actually cutting someone´s arm off, it means it´s way more effective than a sword.
Can we all agree that non-full contact LARPs are stupid? If I can't whack a dude with a (lightly) padded sword, what's
the point?
