Sever Life and Wolves[edit]

So the reason I asked if Sever Life was before or after saves is because that's a make or break condition on whether or not Russ can beat Horus in the eventual mathhammer duel. If it's after saves, then he cannot (though he comes extremely close), if it's before, then he will. Also when we finally get rules for his wolves, they should be included in his fight as if they were an upgrade that he purchased, or at the minimum mentioned in the fight's summary, much like Forgebreaker for Perturabo or Lorgar Transfigured. -- Triacom (talk) 16:55, 4 February 2017 (UTC)

WHO THE FUCK DELETED MY MATH? By the EXACT rules as written, Sever Life triggers before saves. I don't know who the fuck keeps deleting everything I've put here about how to painstakingly perform the abnormally difficult math required for it, but they need to go kill themselves.Evil Executive, CEO of Evil Incorporated (talk) 02:07, 11 April 2017 (UTC)
Calm your tits. I was the one who deleted your "math" (if you want to call an unfinished equation math), and I replaced it with the result of how many additional Wounds Sever Life causes, before saves of course. This way somebody doesn't have to do the rather annoying calculations, they can just quickly look at the result and use that instead. By the way, the reason it's lower than a flat 2 wounds is because I included the probability that it would fail in my calculations. -- Triacom (talk) 03:34, 11 April 2017 (UTC)
And it's now completely fucking wrong, because it still triggers on each wound, not once. The math I had setup was that you can work it out to a flat wound multiplier based on the 2d6 probability curve. Your way cannot account for more than a single wound, nor can it function if Leman Russ somehow obtains rerolls in melee(Like if he's sitting cozy with a character that gives Zealot). I don't fucking care what you niggers think the Rules as Intended should be, the math must be written for how the RAW works, not how you ideally think it should work. Evil Executive, CEO of Evil Incorporated (talk) 23:05, 11 April 2017 (UTC)
No, it triggers once every time he causes 'one or more wounds' in a phase. I don't need to account for more than a single wound because it does not happen separately for every single wound. You really should read how the rule is written, but don't worry, I've got the rule right in front of me: "Sever Life: If a model suffers one or more wounds from this weapon but is not slain, roll 2D6 and compare this to the wounded model's current Toughness. If the result rolled is greater than this, the model suffers an extra D3 wounds at AP 2. Wounds generated in this manner never overspill on to other models." So there you go, RAW the rule only comes into effect once per phase. Come to think of it given how it's worded an argument could be made that the model only suffers the super-Toughness test and extra wounds once per game. As it is right now, the math is written for exactly how the rule should work, and not how you think the rule should work. -- Triacom (talk) 23:18, 11 April 2017 (UTC)
Good lord, I've just read what you've written on the main page about Sever Life. You've never actually read the rule yourself have you? Nothing that you wrote there works as far as the rule is actually written. -- Triacom (talk) 23:20, 11 April 2017 (UTC)

Ascension to Awesome category?[edit]

Heya /tg/, thanks for viewing or elaborating on my edit, I appreciate the clarity! Just wondering, does Leman's page qualify for the Awesome category? I'm not sure what qualifies a Primarch for that, but the ones I saw (Magnus, Roboute, Perturabo, and Sanguinius) seem to go in-depth about their strengths and weaknesses while providing detailed explanations about their appeal and narrative, beyond the standard "here's the lore we know told /tg/ style". Would Leman count? Speaking personally, I've always especially liked the detailed blow-by-blow about him and his brothers. Granted, I know one can't simply add all the Primarchs "just because they're Primarchs and Primarchs are awesome". --TheWriteStuff (talk) 00:24, 8 July 2020 (UTC)
