Talk:Lightning Fighter

From 1d4chan

The design revision of the Voss Lightning post-dates the F-35, which I think makes its resemblance significant, especially as it was called the Mk. II while in development and on display at Games Day. --Not LongPoster Again (talk) 14:36, 31 December 2015 (UTC)

That doesn't change the fact that it was named Lightning before the F-35 was a thing. Also, the resemblance to me appears superficial. The only thing the two have in common is the dual rudder, which also appears on the F-22, the F-18, the and countless other craft. Hell, the WWII-era P-38 Lightning resembles the Voss about as much as the F-35 does. I think all we're really seeing here is Forgeworld reaching the not-unreasonable conclusion that 'Lightning' is as cool name for fighter craft, as have many others before them.--The Forgefather (talk)
