"real life taboos about clergy being banned against "shedding blood""
I have heard of no such taboo. Also Maces do shed blood. Can someone give me some places those taboos would come from?

- ... because Christian priests are the only priests in history. Out of the back of my mind without any research I can remember that Zoroastrian and Mongolian priests were forbidden from shedding blood, and that's only a tiny part of religions that had similar rules.Mezmerro (talk) 18:11, 2 November 2017 (UTC)
