Malcador to the Emperors![edit]
In the revelation that Emperor saw Primarchs just as tools and experiments + this page knowledge = it's Malcador who should have been the One.
- There's a few issue with that, firstly that was written by ADB (a guy who seems to think the Emperor is a cartoon villain) and secondly everything and nothing is canon from the Black Library books. As much as we see bits where the Emperor regards them only as tools we see more bits where he regards them as sons. -- Triacom (talk) 00:40, 27 January 2017 (UTC)
Horus Heresy[edit]
To Nerdius who keeps inserting commentary in the middle of the text: for starters that's not how you edit articles. They are not places for back and forth commentary between users. Use the talk page for your comments then change the article. Secondly, it's not an "either-or" situation, if you had read the sentences before and after the big dump of text you keep trying to insert, you'll see that I'm trying to point out that the Emperor may have had a plan which involved keeping them all alive, but now that the Horus Heresy started he needed to push the primarchs into conflict against each other. He sacrificed his Angel as part of the endgame, whilst he claims in outcast dead that Ferrus was also sacrificed. So yeah, he's killing his own Primarchs. He might not want to do it, but whatever plan he started with has long since gone out of the window.
- I've removed reference to "bloody ends" in the hopes that becomes clearer. --Dark Angel 2020 (talk) 04:37, 5 April 2018 (UTC)
Malcador: First Demon Prince of the Emperor?[edit]
If I might toss my own two cents here; I think it would be cool if Malcador turned out to be the Solar Priest, and was essentially the first Demon Prince of the Emperor. It fits the story well, I think, and the theory has proven popular with the fanbase.
I can see Malcador operating behind the scenes for the last 10,000 years, being the power behind the throne. Much like he did during the Great Crusade era and before that. I think it would also give Black Libary and GW a universal excuse to explain where all the loyalist Primarchs have been this whole time.
Malcador, knowing that the loyalist Primarchs would be needed far into the future, used his newfound powers to spirit them away to Emperor-knows-where and keep them there until they would be truly needed.
It would also be cool if Malcador tried to use his status as a 'demon prince' to create cults to the Emperor across the Imperium. Not religious cults, but philosophical cults dedicated to the concept of Order, and bitterly opposed to Chaos. These cults would see the Emperor as an avatar of a cosmic principle of Order arrayed against Chaos.
Again, this is just my two cents on the topic...
