Talk:Martini
Deletion[edit]
Stop piss fighting over the article and actually use the talk page to discuss talk this out. Jesus. Is this /tg/ related? I say yes, as the martini sipping DM is a old meme. Do we have a problem with old memes on the wiki now? --pHK (talk) 20:34, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
- Yeah, sorry for contributing to that :/ I feel like this wave of deletion is getting a bit too far. TheWiseDane (talk) 20:47, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
- The problem is that those memes have either fallen out of use years ago or had such little impact on /tg that 1d4chan is literally the only place which remembers them at all, thus making us look out of touch and insular. No wonder the popular opinion on /tg/ is that beyond the tactics pages, it's only marginally better than Encyclopedia Dramatica.
- Tell me, when's the last time you saw anybody posting about martini-drinking GMs on /tg/ itself?--70.192.203.240 21:09, 12 August 2015 (UTC)
Since this likely isn't going anywhere, why don't we compromise? How about integrating the martini page into the James Bond page. Maybe like how the abominable Twilight page was put into Rage? Or have a shortened version of it added simply as another section on that page. I personally don't think that an old meme has to put to completely put to death this way, even if it doesn't see much use these days. Plus, it will add to a page that might be otherwise lacking in the eyes of others. --Bapap (talk) 04:49, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
Actually as a new GM, i found this gem and felt like using it because the idea is fun in itself. So I think it is okay to keep it. Some memes can raise from the grave. And i don't see how having outdated fun things is that bad (unless you're talking memory usage but i don't think it's the case), seeing as they can come back to fashion. ( [user:Guest] )
Lets keep it[edit]
because why not? might as well--Nicol bolas (talk) 23:34, 27 September 2017 (UTC)
