Talk:Medium

This page should have some mention of what the tier of this class is and why. I've put this info on most of the other 3E/PF classes, but I know so little about Medium (and most of the Occult classes) in practical terms. --Agiletek (talk) 07:51, 5 February 2020 (UTC)

I raised this discussion on the Tier system page itself. Most online discussion forums place the class somewhere between Tier 3 or Tier 4. The problem with the Medium is that it is a class that mimics other classes, so detailed examination makes it look unfavourable compared to those classes themselves, especially with the drawbacks of the influence rules. Some spellcasting Spirits are often considered higher tier than noncaster spirits, but can be changed every 24 hours so the class always has access to them. Additionally, some archetypes are better/worse and can completely change the way the class behaves, changing the tier...
