It's more of a /tg/ meme. I'm actually surprised we haven't seen the model posted, though. -- Jaimas 12:30, 7 August 2011 (EST)
Space Marines Using Multilasers[edit]
Is it really that big of a stretch to assume that Space Marines would never use multilasers? Sure, it is uncommon among them due to their using more traditional weapons, but I can see circumstances where it might come up. For example, the Raven Guard do not have a lot of the same kind of supply lines that most Astartes chapters do and often engage in more gorilla actions. I could totally see them appropriating some multilasers for their own use, hooking it up to a lascanon power pack, attaching a few handles, and using it as a suppression weapon, or for mowing down targets where heavy bolters would be overkill and getting more Astartes-grade bolter ammo is a concern on a long campaign. Or likewise, a newly formed chapter might lack some of the same traditional supply agreements that established chapters depend on and so might make other arrangements to fulfill their weaponry supply needs, and multilasers were more practical for what they could get. Sure, Goto might fuck up the circumstances under which it might be used, but the idea does not seem entirely out there in the fluff, regardless of what the crunch allows.--98.237.210.5 1:15 PM, 25 January 2013 (PST)
- Did you seriously just suggest that Space Marines have a concept of 'overkill'?
- Nominally, no. But Space Marines do have a concept of "waste not, want not." As Cyrus once said in a lesson, "Inaccuracy is a sin. You will always have more targets than you have ammunition." -- 98.237.210.5 9:55 PM, 30 January 2013 (PST)
