Talk:Oghma
From 1d4chan
Just for some clarity about Gond, before we get into a to and fro.
- 1E flat out stated :"Gond serves Oghma along with Deneir and Milil. He gives the ideas Oghma holds in his portfolio concrete form and inspires others to make new things. He has grown very independent as his own power waxes, and his relationship to Oghma is already only dimly remembered at times by mortals." in his god entry in Faiths & Avatars.
- 3E also explicitly stated that he was subservient to Oghma: "He serves Oghma in the thirst for knowledge, but is so independent of his superior that many forget their relationship." - Faiths & Pantheons.
- The connection was also implied in 4E: "Just below the greater gods in the divine pecking order are the lesser gods, sometimes simply called gods. Each of these entities is subservient to a greater god and resides with that greater god on a particular plane of existence." - FR Player's Guide, which includes Gond in the list of those "lesser gods".
- I don't have any 5E information to go on however. --Dark Angel 2020 (talk) 12:55, 24 August 2018 (UTC)
