Talk:Perturabo

From 1d4chan

My apologies if I botch the format of this, never posted before: Does anyone else get a Prussian vibe from the Pre-heresy/heresy era Iron Warriors and their primarch? Between the officer cadre being nearly all nobility (mentioned and explored a bit in angel exterminatus), the use of war games to test strategies and hone technique, and the general combat philosophies mentioned by Perturabo and his officers, it all screams space Prussia to me.

Unrelated, but Perturabo could also be a variation on Perturbation as in the Theory (created by Laplace, Poisson, MOTHERFUCKING GAUSS) in which affecting one thing also changes what's adjacent to it and so on down the line. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perturbation_theory Perturbation Theory was also damn important to Napoleon who might have been the first general to ever take physics and it's applications for his cannon balls seriously. Thusly Perturabo could be Space Napoleon with his fondness for overwhelming artillery and meatgrinder gunline tactics. Given how many others of the Primarchs are callbacks to legendary tacticians and generals this is not entirely improbable.

"The expert's explanation as to Peturabo's Personality" Shouldn't this be folded into the Personality section? Giving this explanation its own header is a little pretentious, as though this theory is somehow more valid than the others, even though it has just as little basis in the written works. Whenever I get a minute I'm going to re-edit the section of Perty's personality to present a more unified and less contradictory tone. Redmaw (talk) 14:45, 22 August 2017 (UTC)
