Talk:Scrollhammer: Imperial Legion

From 1d4chan

I've been messing around with the spells; there wasn't very much use of Illusion and Mysticism in this army, and a lot of leftover spells from other codices which need mixing around with new spells for this codex. Are you alright with the changes I've made? Should I go ahead and do some final editing for magic items too? -lolpwnt

Hey, went ahead and checked differences between my latest version and your updates. The fixed up spells and additions of items look rather nice, thanks. Pretty sure that your 'final editing for magic items too' is already done. And the introduction is well written. Glad I was able to rope you into doing that. Barring images and adjusting point costs how complete do you consider this codex? --FatherDuke 01:16, 2 May 2012 (BST)

Fluff needs a major grammar check. I might make some fluff fixes later, but you can go ahead and do that for now. That's about it, though. After that, just needs some awesome pictures. Thanks for writing this. -Lolpwnt

No problem. Thought that it might be good to get the Legion out of the way, have some mundane-esque army in addition to the others. And again it's fun working on these sorts of things. On images, here's a zip with perhaps 15 images that are questionably use-able. While working on the book I ran some pretty simple searches for images on the Legion, found surprisingly little. Though you probably have half the images already it's a start. zip of random imperial images --FatherDuke 05:03, 2 May 2012 (BST)

Half of those special characters have nothing to do with the Empire in lore. The Knights of the Nine are a religious military order who owe allegiance to only to the Aedra. Pelinel fought for the Alessian rebellion, and has absolutely no connection to either the Septim or Mede empires. And Alessia herself has no connection with the modern empire by the same token.

^ Couldn't agree more. I think it's more a case of the Skyrim list not needing a bajjilion special characters, when many of the newly introduced characters are placed into that particular codex. While it may be more appropriate for Alessia and friends to have a mini-codex of their own, they fit nicely enough in this particular book. This can always change. --FatherDuke 20:37, 29 November 2012 (UTC)

Noticed that he is the only main character without an entry. think a Multiform unit like Never would be best, so having 3 different forms like Hero of Kvatch, The divine crusader (since there are no divine crusader items in the game yet) and hero of the empire for your end game character. So putting him in the imperial legion is where he will probably go although a 4th form for the deadra faction can also be used i suppose. It would also solve giving a newer character a spotlight and bring in the knights of the nine to a current faction

It's worth some thinking- so far I've been hard-pressed to come up with a way to make the Hero of Kvatch more unique then just a customizable hero. He/she also more or less ends up as Sheoggorath, so there's only a few different alternative stat lines I can think of. I imagine there would be-

  • Hero of Kvatch
  • Divine Crusader
  • The Mad

If even that many. The question is how would we make a unit that encompasses all the different paths that the oblivion-protag may take, in addition to throwing in some new, interesting special rules. That and how they might affect allies. --FatherDuke (talk) 09:06, 9 April 2013 (UTC)
