Talk:Siegeball
Current issues. Oh fuck is this thing balanced around monks?
Has anyone done play testing? I can't help but feel like this would drag out needlessly when someone lines up 40 or 50 momentum points, and sends the ball rocketing around forever. Folks should tweak the amount of momentum points damage generates, and how quickly it degrades. Perfectly elastic walls might be a bad idea, as might be 1 square=1mp.
As far as we know, the most playtesting we've heard about is someone posting in the thread "I modified the rules to a different system and ran a game of this"

Player Classes[edit]
In the thread on /tg/, someone's suggesting player classes based around playing Siegeball. Should that go on this page, or should it get it's own page? --Izuminous 18:23, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
initial playtest[edit]
so i tried it using Pathfinder rules. the group Consisting of A warforged fighter 3, Human monk 3, human ranger 3, human cleric 2, and human bard 3 vs the npcs consisting of 2 3rd level Monks, 2 3rd level barbarians and a sorcerer. It was actually really fun, but it started getting renamed "Mathball". Pc's won
The biggest issues are someone lining up and constanly kicking off their rebound with combat reflexes destroying the pillar fast. I used 25 hp pillars just to try it out. The second match was the 2's and 3's against level level the same team leveld up to 4 and 5's. with 50 hp pillars, and full use of weapons/spells with a 1 round buff period. That was brutal since the NPC goal keeper enlarged and had a reach weapon, threatening a 40 ft zone. Npc's won.
Its was popular enough to become a recurring event in the campaing i'm running due to player responses. --Name Violation 06:40, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
Rules Issue[edit]
The rules say "with a AC equal to 10 - its current 'momentum points'" That makes it easier to hit the faster it goes... Is it supposed to be "with a AC equal to 10 + its current 'momentum points'"? --75.187.168.200 23:09, 28 March 2013 (UTC)
- As no-one has commented on this issue, I am going to make the edit.--75.187.168.200 17:37, 5 April 2013 (UTC)
