Talk:Slayers

From 1d4chan

No it ain't an animu database, but it was put as a link on the article about anime, so I figured I may as well put it in here. There are a lot more useless articles around anyway. -Rodwell 16:21, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

Slayers is often used as an example of what DnD might be like if DnD were an anime and that makes it /tg/-related enough for me. The article might need some improvement, sure, but not deleting. Besides, as Rodwell says, we have pages lying around which are arguably a lot less related and nobody is trying to delete those. --Carcer 16:42, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
I made the article only so it won't give a red link (I hate those) on the anime page. It does indeed need more work, but I'll do that some other time. -Rodwell 17:14, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
Well, I do agree with you that we have a bunch of less relevant pages; yet what I'm scared of is a full-scale animu-lover invasion and making dozens of pages on the topic. It's a lot like writing shit about /b/. Fatum 07:52, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
To be honest I wouldn't really have much of a problem with that, since a lot of /tg/'s userbase are fans of the animu to some degree or other, and you can make the argument for a lot of shows being somewhat related. The problem with attracting /b/ is that /b/tards have a tendency to shit all over everything, whereas a bunch of animu fans making pages about vaguely related animu are unlikey to fuck up the rest of our pages at all. --Carcer 08:11, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
Ok how about this - the only animu related articles should be the ones that are listed in the anime article itself, since they are the ones who are considered to be somehow related to /tg/'s interests. From the on, anything else should simply be deleted and be done with it. --Rodwell 08:16, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
Well, I like the idea, and besides we can always add new titles to the main article --Hanyufag 09:31, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
Related to /tg/'s (theoretical) interests and related to /tg/ aren't necessarily the same thing. For instance, Touhou, unless scrolling shooters are considered Traditional Games of the video variety. If it comes up in memes (e.g. Haruhi as Mork/Gork), it might as well be described here, and unless Wikifag really cheaped out on hard drives it seems unlikely we are going to run out of space anytime soon. You just need to relax a little. Nobody is forcing you to read these articles, and having the articles there does not ruin the other articles on the wiki. Let's not have a repeat of that stub/skub nonsense. --Carcer 12:18, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
And mentally copypasta that last part to the Rouge talk page, too. --Carcer 12:20, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
Hey, but drama is delicious! Fatum 16:10, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
Why doesn't someone take 20 minutes and, I dunno, fix the page? Afterall there has been two adaptions; Slayers d20 and the BESM/Tristat Slayers books. I did it myself. --37 22:01, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

As per the origins of this series, I thought it was meant to be a parody of Record of Lodoss War. --72.215.154.250 20:53, 13 April 2012 (BST)

I have no idea how this stuff works but I redid a large portion of the page since Slayers is becoming relevant again. --Some guy on June 22nd, 2019 at 12:10PM UST

Edited a large portion of the D20 section now that I have a D20 available to use as a source. Will probably edit and clean-up other parts of the D20 section at some point in the future.
