Five minutes of research show that Starship Troopers didn't invent the concept of power armor so much as codify it - Lensman predated Starship Troopers by quite a few years. BUT at the same time, Heinlein openly cited E. E. Smith as the main influence on his writing (William H. Patterson. Robert A. Heinlein: In Dialogue with His Century. New York: Tor Books, 2014, p. 200), so both of your claims are only half-right, if even that.
