Talk:Team Fortress 2
Nothing but an image? Could someone with some knowledge of the game add some info?
- If you are concerned with a lack of content, consider adding a stub tag (next time, I did for this page already). Also I am under the impression it is customary to leave a time stamp and signature when you write something on a discussion page, which you can easily do thanks to the convenient 'signature with timestamp' button above the editing window on edit pages (it looks like http://1d4chan.org/skins/common/images/button_sig.png). Before I found out about said button I never did it and I don't remember anyone ever calling me out on it so I doubt its a big deal. --99.160.164.162 02:09, 3 September 2013 (UTC)

This page has no reason to exist. I suggest immediate deletion.--Newerfag (talk) 03:27, 3 September 2013 (UTC)
- There are quite a few pages that are at best tangentially related to /tg/. Whenever I come across them I put the not related tag on them if they don't have it already. This page is bare bones, if we get rid of it, it would be best to so before people invest time and effort into it. I am quite sure I would get upset if I put a decent amount of time and effort into a page and then it got deleted.--99.160.164.162 04:15, 3 September 2013 (UTC)
- Furthermore, the page is a joke, and one I personally find funny. You click on the article, expecting some /v/acationing /v/irgin to tell you why TF2 sucks/rules, and instead you see an ad for the TF2 board game. --169.233.101.195 21:11, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
- Doesn't change the fact that it shouldn't be on the wiki in the first place. One joke does not justify the existence of an irrelevant page.--Newerfag (talk) 22:49, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
- I think it's a clever article. Plus, if we remove all articles based on that they are based on a single joke quite a few or articles would have to be removed/significantly trimmed down. Biggus Berrus (talk) 05:30, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
- If we want to restore the joke, we should remove everything except the picture, and maybe add the awesome tag (the "Do not fuck it up" will discourage page development. Page development would of course ruin the joke, again). Personally I think we should let the page develop (which would mean removing the deletion tag), or restore the joke (awesome tag optional).--99.160.164.162 08:11, 31 October 2013 (UTC)
- The joke stopped being funny five years ago at the earliest. Now it's a dead meme repeated only by unfunny newfags.--Newerfag (talk) 19:38, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
- Okay. I disagree with your opinion on this matter. What's standard practice for resolving situations like this?--Soundifex (talk) 20:53, 18 November 2013 (UTC)
- Edit wars until the mods get annoyed and ban everyone involved. - Biggus Berrus (talk) 08:34, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
- Don't get me wrong- it's a good game, but it has nothing at all to do with /tg/ and a single gag is not enough to justify a page for it. --Newerfag (talk) 15:41, 19 November 2013 (UTC)
- It's not like pages are a limited resource. And even if the game isn't related to /tg/ the gag is. I think, we have even less /tg/ related pages on this wiki anyways.--Emerald Claw (talk) 08:26, 14 August 2014 (UTC)
- Yes, but it still falls flat in the "humor" section. A single joke cannot carry an article on its own. Hell, I'm sure someone could set up a thread to homebrew TF2 into an RPG, and that would make the whole thing exponentially more suitable for a page. --Newerfag (talk) 06:01, 14 August 2014 (UTC)

[edit]
Technically, there is a themed chess set and "no longer funny" is not a criteria for deleting a page about a meme. If that was the case, BLAM HERESY references ought to be deleted as well. --Thannak (talk) 15:46, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
New Comic[edit]
The new halloween TF2 comic that contains some /tg/ type content (the characters are playing a table top game). I doubt that it changes enough in terms of TF2 having a page, but I thought I would bring it up on the off chance it might.--Emerald Claw (talk) 12:51, 30 October 2015 (UTC)
- The page was useful due to it having memorable phrases we could use, but truly, this isn't related to /tg/ at all. It's a rather cool /v/, if anything. -- Zerghalo2 (talk) 23:53, 8 December 2015 (UTC)
Some Parody Vids featuring 40k and TF2[edit]
If this page ever gets fully admitted to this wiki and out of the deletion category, here are links to some vids combining both TF2 and 40k that could be placed in the link section. Maybe someone here will find them funny.
You can get unofficial 40k skins for TF2.
Dawn of War is now about RED and BLU.

Vote[edit]
I vote deletion. Just an inside joke for those who read the comics. Death Korps of Krieg Soldier (talk) 06:51, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
