Is it just me, or do Terminators look kinda goofy with how they look? I mean Jesus, look at their heads!-Anonymous
Despite it being said that Terminator is based on "Tactical Dreadnought Armor", is it possible that they were named after the time-travelling robots from the movies to cash in on the popularity of that term and get attention. The first Terminator movie by James Cameron came out in 1984 and Rogue Trader was released three years later in 1987. Were Space Marine Terminators named Terminators after the titular movie robots?
- Given the fact that they don't have anything in common barring the name, it's unlikely. Necrons are the real Terminators of 40k.--Boss Ballkrusha (talk) 22:39, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
8.1/10, too much pictures.
This page has more pictures than it has paragraphs, two of which are shitty fanart. I get that TG loves it some terminators, but this is a fucking mess.
- They could simply be moved to a Gallery section, I believe that is where they were before.--The Forgefather
- I can only see one picture that does belong in the gallery section and isn't in there, also this page could actually use either more pictures, or pictures moved outside of the gallery, for example the picture of the Minotaur Terminator is to show off standard Indomitus-pattern Terminator armour, so we could move designs for Cataphractii-pattern, Saturnine-pattern, and Gorgon-pattern under their respective sections. If you want to remove redundant images and/or move them to their respective pages though (such as the Alpha Legion terminators to the Alpha Legion pages), I doubt anyone would complain. -- Triacom (talk) 00:05, 25 January 2016 (UTC)
- When the respective sections are so short, putting an image next to each one only makes the page less readable, as the severity of text breakup by the image is artificially increased. For the sake of cleanliness, the Terminator variants are best kept in the gallery.--The Forgefather
As far as I'm aware, the old Rogue Trader-era armour that appeared in the Meduson novella (the one that looked to be used as a heavy weapons platform) was never said to be the Saturnine pattern. In fact, they were said to be custom jobs that Vulkan had designed just before Isstvan - that, and the fact that they were loaded up with extra weapons, kind of goes against them being Saturnine pattern, since it was meant to be pretty much functionally identical to the Indomitus. If I'm wrong, please feel free to provide a citation, but if not, stop treating headcanon and forum speculation as official lore. --188.8.131.52 05:20, 4 February 2016 (UTC)
Possible Mislabeling of an image?
I know the image used in the other section that is labelled as possibly saturnine has popped up other places and in searches as mark one terminator armor that belongs to the salamanders chapter. Should we trust the 40k wiki on this one? It might also be a special modification that was used by an honor guard. I have seen conflicting information on other sites. --RedmoonRenegade (talk) 07:57, 22 January 2019 (UTC)
