The Medium[edit]

I'm gonna ask why the Medium has been put in Tier 5? other than through a single individual's personal opinion of the class? From what discussions I can find online [here], [here], [|here], [here], [and here] the Medium is at the lower end of Tier 3 or upper Tier 4, depending on the archetype chosen and what Spirit is being used. Because as poorly thought-out as the class may be for finding its role in a balanced party, it's still a 1/2 caster, or 2/3rds caster that can dabble in other lists, while the Seance Bonus/Boons can make the Medium outstrip other classes at different points in their careers (+6/+6 with +4 damage at level 7 for a Medium, opposed to +7/+2 with +1 damage for a Fighter at the same level), though of course feats and other class features can balance classes in other ways. But come on... the consensus is that its not THAT bad. --Dark Angel 2020 (talk) 08:49, 18 November 2019 (UTC)

Also gonna point out that the tier system is not just about the raw power of a class and its combat potential but its ability to contribute to any given encounter of any sort and not feel like a third wheel. The discussions I've linked above often reiterate this when contributors neglect what classes can do outside of combat. If there are no objections, I'm gonna change it to Tier 4 with the caveat that spirit and archetype selection can cause this to rise or fall. Dark Angel 2020 (talk) 12:16, 19 November 2019 (UTC)
Late (never realized this was posted). Medium is a class I barely know, but what I found suggested in a few places. I have no objections to its having been moved. --Agiletek (talk) 07:20, 5 February 2020 (UTC)

5e and PF2e Tiers?[edit]

So, does anybody know what the tiers are for 5e and Pathfinder 2nd Edition are? Saarlacfunkel (talk) 06:50, 5 February 2020 (UTC)

I remember seeing a system for 5E that rated based on how many areas they could function in and how well (but mainly the first because bonded accuracy is dumb). Don't remember where it was from or if it has any following/agreement. --Agiletek (talk) 07:20, 5 February 2020 (UTC)
