Can anyone direct me to a source that says the Orcs in fantasy use teef as currency? Because the rulebooks state that when they want riches they just take them from other races and I've never seen any of those books say anything about them using teef as anything like their 40k counterparts. -- Triacom (talk) 07:03, 3 November 2017 (UTC)

According to Warhammer Wiki its Warhammer Fantasy RPG 2nd ED -- Old World Armoury. http://warhammerfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Currency I threw it in because of TWW and Blood Bowl references. --Thannak (talk) 15:15, 3 November 2017 (UTC)
Because gold has intrinsic value in the Fantasy/AoS universe as a medium of crafting magic, orruks seem to use and value both.
I've just gone through the Old World Armoury, at no point are Orcs mentioned to use teef. I've also looked at the wiki page, Orcs are listed as having teef but they do no have a description or a source for this. Also in Total War: Warhammer the Orcs also don't use teef. Does anyone else have a source for this? Because it seems clear to me that Fantasy Orcs do not use teef. -- Triacom (talk) 18:58, 3 November 2017 (UTC)
They do use Teef in TWW. Its not the currency you use to buy troops, but the lore blurbs for events mention Teef and the buildings state that Orcs only use gold to make piles out of to show status and not to actually trade using. --Thannak (talk) 20:53, 3 November 2017 (UTC)
My mistake then, although that's a very slight one and considering that TW:W is hardly what you'd call 'lore accurate' I'm not going to use it as a source. Does anyone have an actual source for teef in Fantasy, or is this just a fan assumption? -- Triacom (talk) 03:40, 4 November 2017 (UTC)
God dammit, did we not fucking establish that TWW has it as canon? Its literally the only remaining Warhammer canon there is anymore, and we don't exactly cut out references to WAR and SoC simply because they aren't the modern continuity. --Thannak (talk) 04:16, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
Do you have any sources for the other bits like the ogres being good sources or the gnoblars not caring about teef? If you want to add the bit about TW:W sure then go ahead, but as far as I can see everything else you re-added everything else is just made up. -- Triacom (talk) 04:44, 5 November 2017 (UTC)
Those were jokes. This isn't Warhammer Wiki where we simply copy/paste rulebook blurbs and only cite current supported GW continuity, its largely a joke website that contains useful information between the sarcasm, random guessing/fridge logic, /tg/ humor, and shit-talking of acceptable targets. If they aren't funny statements, axe them and replace them with a better joke. --Thannak (talk) 09:09, 6 November 2017 (UTC)
I get they're meant to be jokes Thannak, but if a page is primarily 40k related then it doesn't make sense to have Fantasy jokes on there, just like how you don't find the Skaven page with the blam meme all over it since they like to off one another for saying something they dislike. In other words, it's not a funny joke, just like it wouldn't be a funny joke if warhammer memes were strewn all over D&D pages or Magic: The Gathering. When 'jokes' like that appear on those pages the best thing to do is just to remove them, as you've done yourself with another user recently who's posted unfunny jokes. -- Triacom (talk) 09:28, 6 November 2017 (UTC)

Finally found one.[edit]

So I finally did find one mention of Orcs using Teef as currency, there was a group in older lore called Gablag's Ladz that used them like that. They also used them as tools and decoration, though their Goblins aren't mentioned as using Teef as currency.

I've also found mention of Orcs and Goblins using everything else under the sun as currency (including gold, shiny stuff, other bones, weapons, armour and beer), so I'm going to make a separate entry on the main page consolidating all the Fantasy elements, including the mentions in Warhammer Online and TW:WH. -- Triacom (talk) 18:45, 12 February 2020 (UTC)
