Talk:Truenamer

There is something that this article doesn't talk about. What about Truename magic Prestige Classes? They are Acolyte of the Ego, Bereft, Brimstone Speaker, Disciple of the Word, and Fiendbinder. Are they all as terrible as the Truenamer or are any of them actually good?--2601:203:480:4C60:492F:DA9B:556E:B48 05:56, 16 August 2020 (UTC)
- Truenamer's flaws are inherit to the magic system. No prestige class will change that without ceasing to be a Truenamer prestige class. From a quick examination, all the prestige classes for it are going to be worse since they don't advance truenaming while giving nothing of value in return. Fiendbinder isn't even a Binder prestige class, as you need Summon Monster IV to access it on top of truename ranks (so natural entry is Factotum 1/Fullcaster 7... which itself is notable for a really late entry for a ten level prestige class). It's just a class with a shitty version of Planar Binding/Planar Ally you could already cast with any caster capable of entry other than Wu Jen (which has an equivlent spell). --Agiletek (talk) 06:31, 16 August 2020 (UTC)
