Talk:Vampire

From 1d4chan

For anyone editing this in the future, you might consider breaking this up in a general vampire article, and a vampire form the WoD. --Myomoto 18:10, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

Also spelling and grammar are delightful inventions. Use them moar. - Hueqort

Goth subculture is far older than Anne Rice.

I'm making a minor change to the Twilight section because I don't think it sufficiently explains why this is relevant to TG.

Hellsing[edit]

Anybody think we should have an article on Hellsing?

Hellsing is animu, so no. Biggus Berrus 11:06, 23 September 2012 (BST)

Introduction[edit]

To be completely honest, the intro of this article reads like an edgy thirteen year old jerking off to how awesome edgelord vampires are. I hate twilight as much as the next guy but I feel like fanboying Alucard is detracting from the seriousness of the article. Can I delete that part? Also the Hellsing part is way too long, apparently we give blatant Sues like Alucard a pass now simply because hes pure wish fulfillement. Not to mention that its kinda hypocritical to shit on Twilight but not do the same with Monster Girls which is basically the Twilight version of vampires for men.

It seems complete to me, so I'd just replace the intro with something else. Personally, I love Hellsing, and I don't think it's too bad, but if you makes you super butthurt, go ahead and change it (or, even better, get rid of some of the fanboying and provide an alternative opinion in the Hellsing section). As far as MG goes, I'd care to disagree. Preferring men myself, I can tell you, without a doubt, that Twilight isn't a fapfilm. Sure, Taylor Laughtner is very attractive, especially half naked, but getting off to it is like getting off to the sex scene in Braveheart on repeat (trust me - most mentally functional women agree). Beyond that, Twilight wasn't made to be fapped to (it isn't 50 Shades, even if it is of similar quality); it's meant to be a teen romance novel, and takes itself way too seriously. MG, on the other hand, is meant to be ironic, silly, and, ultimately, to be fapped to, which is an entirely different beast. --Kracked Mynd (talk) 15:49, 13 December 2018 (UTC)
I always thought Twilight was supposed to be smut for women, at least certain types of women, who like the whole "pure girl meets tormented boy and brings him back to the light while discovering her wild side along the way" sort of story. Then again im not the most well versed individual in these topics.
